PWCommittee - MINUTES - 4/23/19701 '---PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO 0 MINUTES OF MRETING HELD ON APRIL 23, 1970 Chairman Wollman called the meeting to order at 4:00 P.M. Also present were Ald. Burgermeister, Sapp, DeBack, Mayor Gottfried, Supt. Bertram and City Engineer Kelsenberg. Mr. Konkel, S67 W13793 Fleetwood Rd. appeared to discuss a water problem. The Committee decided to cloase tile before it reached his house. Mr. l Konkel gave the Public Works Dept. permission to dig on his property and would not hold us responsible for any damages. The following drainage problems were discussed and the following action taken: 1. Lochcrest Blvd. - deferred action until next meeting. 2. Bay Lane and Bellview - Public Works will clean ditch 3. Bay Ct. (Bay Shore Estates) Ald. Burgenxeister will check problem. 4. Richard St. - City Engineer was directed to get an easement to lay approximately 300 ft. of tile. The Committee discussed the extension of Shore Lane - action was deferred until more information is available. A request for a "Children Present" sign on Garden Terrace was discussed. 0 Supt. Bertram was directed to erect sign. The Committee discussed a new bucket for John Deere Loader. Ald. Burgermeister moved to purchase a new bucket at a cost of $350.00 from M.E.E. Construction Equipment Co. Seconded by Ald. DeBack. Motion carried. Ald. DeBack moved to accept the low quotation of Payne & Dolan, Inc. in the amount of $6.49 per ton for bituminous concrete pavement. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried. Ald. DeBack moved to get quotations for sandseal for the following projects: 81 Crowbar Rd. from S.T.H. 24 to Parker Dr. #2 Bay Lane from S.T.H. 24 to Middle School #3 Woods Rd. West of C.T.H. '7" to S.T.H. 24 Seconded by Ald. Burgermeister. Motion carried. Ald. Burgermeister moved to accept the quotation of Wolf Construction for asphalt and road oils. Seconded by Ald. DeBack. Motion carried. Ald. Wollman moved to accept the quotation of .141 per gal.from American l Oil Company for regular gasoline. Seconded by Ald. DeBack, motion carried. Ald. Burgermeister moved to accept the quotation of .1509 per gal. from Midland Cooperative, Inc. for premitnn gasoline. Seconded by Ald. DeBack. Motion carried. Ald. DeBack moved to accept the quotation of .115 per gal. from Johnny's Petroleum Products for #2 Fuel Oil. Seconded by Ald. Burgermeister, a motion carried. Mr. Melvin Johnson, Chairman of the Town of Norway, appeared to discuss a drainage problem on South DeNoon Rd. Ald. DeBack moved to survey South DeNoon Road and to share the cost equally with the Town of Norway. Seconded by Aid. Wollman. Motion carried. Public Works Committee City of Mu&ego 4123170 Page 2. Supt. Bertram questioned city ownership of a short portion of Bay Lane south of Woods Road. He will check records on same. l Supt. Bertram also reported on some problems with the sewage ponds. Consulting Engineer Ruekert & Mielke will be contacted on this problem. Ald. Burgermeister moved to recommend adoption of a resolution declaring certain weeds to be noxious within the boundaries of the City of Muskego, Waukesha Co. Wis. Seconded by Ald. DeBack.
