MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 19, 1970
Chairman Wollman called:the meeting to order at 8:15 P.M. Also present
were Aldermen Burgermeister, DeBack, Dryer and Supt. Bertram.
The Committee discussed the number of roads being closed due to sewer
0 construction and how emergency vehicles would get to the areas, if
necessary. Ald. Wollman and Building Inspector Lee will contact sewer
contractors for possible solution.
Letters were received from County Highway Conraissioners, V. F. Demshar,
regarding the shadow lane at the intersection of Pioneer Dr. and new
Highway "Y". and the drainage situation along old Highway "Yl' near the
Nursing Home. Ald. DeBack moved to recommend to the Common Council
that the Public Works Dept. install 195 feet of culvert from Lion's
Drive to the lake through the Schaefer property, 50 feet of the culvert
to be furnished by the County. Seconded by Ald. Burgermeister. Motion
carried.
Ald. DeBa~ck moved to recommend to the Common Council that a bid be
sent to the County on two parcels of land along new Highway "Y".
$50.00 to be offered for a parcel on the corner of Hillendale and
new Highway "Y" and $l,OOC.OO for a parcel along new Highway "Y" and
Simandl Dr. Seconded by Ald. Burgenneister. Motion carried.
Ald. Burgermeister moved to recommend to the Common Council a $lO,OOO.OO
draw to Brookfield Culvert Co. on their contract on the Tess Comers
Drainage Project. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried.
A letter was received from the State of Wisconsin, Dept. of Trans-
portation, consenting to access onto Highway "24" from the Industrial
Park (Mercury Drive).
A one-way street for Oak Grove was discussed. Ald. Sapp will contact
people in the area for opinions.
Ald. Burgermeister moved to recommend to the Common Council the ex-
tension of Gold Drive from Onyx Dr. to its intersection with Diamond
Drive. Seconded by Ald. DeBack. Motion carried.
Ald. Burgenneister moved to adjourn. Seconded byAld. Wollman. The
meeting adjourned at lo:05 P.M.
