a MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 30, 1969
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Wieselmann at 7:40 P.M.
Present were Mayor Wieselmann, Aldermen Wollman, DeBack, Sapp and
O'Connell, City Engineer Kelsenberg, City Attorney Buckley and
Franklyn K. Haseley from the Department of Natural Resources.
,a The property owners along the channel from Highway 24 to the dam's
on Little Muskego Lake were called in for this meeting.
City Attorney talked about obtaining easements from the property
owners for making necessary improvements to the channel.
Franklyn K. Haseley told about things that could be done and the
procedure that had to be taken for improvements to the dams and
channel.
The City Attorney asked how many property owners would be interested
in making one new dam. Most of the property owners raised their
hands.
l Mr. Lemke stated that the City would never get an easement from him.
City Engineer will contact Milwaukee Underground to take care of problem
left by them in that area.
Attorney Morke spoke and suggested that the City direct the engineer
to draw up a firm proposal, acquire the necessary lands and move
ahead with the project.
Mr. Lemke was the only property owner that spoke against closing
the west dam. All other property owners seemed to be in favor of
this proposal.
