PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 7, 1969
The meeting was called to order at 4:05 P.M. by Chairman Budish.
Present were Chairman Budish, Alderman Wollman, Mayor Wieselmann,
Supt. Bertram and City Engineer Kelsenberg.
Wollman moved, seconded by Budish, to authorize the Wisconsin Natural
Gas Co. to install 698 ft. of 2" H.P. main and 1 3/4" H.P. gas lateral
to serve Arthur Himmelspach at Wl90 S7262 Lochcrest Blvd. City Engineer
to approve prints. Motion carried.
Permission was granted to the Wisconsin Telephone Co. to remove a pole
on Janesville Rd. and Lannon Dr. and trench 5 ft. on road right-of-way
on Lannon Dr. Permit authorized by City Engineer.
An estimate for repairing Century fence that had been damaged during
a recent storm in the amount of $240.00 - fences being excluded from
the City's Insurance Policy. It was determined by the Committee to
have the Public Works Dept. repair the fence at approximately one half
the cost.
Discussion took place regarding the sewer installation on the Gerald
Apmann property at W171 S6934 Lannon Dr. where the lateral at the lot
line was too high making the depth at the house too low. Budish moved,
seconded by Wollman that the City will correct the error thus making
the sewer useable.
Ald. DeBack joined the meeting at 5:00 P.M.
Ordinance #147 relating to street excavations was reviewed and some
changes were suggested. Ordinance 8147 was referred to the Rules,
Laws & Ordinance Committee.
Discussion took place regarding Martin Ludwig's claim that he is one
sewer lateral short on Bay Lane. Engineer Kelsenberg will investigate.
Discussion took place regarding a claim filed by Diane and Fred Ceballos
relative to damages and personal injuries as a result of an automobile
striking an uncovered and unattended manhole on Woodland Place. Claim
has been referred to City Attorney and Insurance Co.
Committee discussed Crowbar Rd. reconstruction, the moving of fences,
etc. The City is taking care of the moving of the fences.
DeBack moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Wollman. Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 5:55 P.M.
