PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 21, 1969
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Budish at 4:05 P.M.
Present were Chairman Budish, Aldermen Wollman and DeBack, Mayor
Wieselmann, Supt. Bertram and City Engineer Kelsenberg.
Communication received from Marine Biochemists, Inc., Waukesha, Wis.
on the treatment of algae in the waste trea,tment ponds.
The Committee reviewed plan of reconstruction of the intersection of
Highway 24 and Ba,y Lane. Ald. Wollman moved that the City put a new
culvert across Woods Road and two catch basins at the intersection
of Woods Road and Bay Lane. Seconded by DeBack. Motion carried.
Dick Casper appeared representing DeBack Grading and discussed
culverts in driveways on Crowbar Road. DeBack moved to grant permission
to put culverts in according to the present width of the driveways up
to the maximum of 30 feet. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried.
Donald Lekfield appeared and discussed a drainage tile line along
Crowbar Rd. in front of his buildings. Ald. DeBack moved that the City
buy a 12" tile to place along Crowbar Rd. from Donald Lekfield's barn
north to Archie King's Milk House. (Approximately 900 ft.) Tile to
be laid by Lekfield and King. Also the installation and repair of
the tile on the Francis King property. Seconded by Ald. Wollman.
Motion carried. Mr. Casper stated that Crowbar Rd. should be completed
in 10 days to two weeks.
Ald. Wollman moved to have Supt. Bertram get quotations on the seeding
of the slopes on the portion of Crowbar Rd. which is under construction.
Seconded by Ald. DeBack. Motion carried.
Ald. DeBack moved to grant permission to City Engineer to get proposals
on laying a sewer lateral in Bay Lane to Martin Ludwig's Subdivision
property line. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried.
City Engineer was directed to send a letter to Ma~yor Rathke on a
complaint of hooking leach beds to storm sewer on College Ave. in
the City of New Berlin.
DeBack moved to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. The
meeting adjourned at 6:00 P.M.
