PWCommittee - MINUTES - 8/12/19650 l PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 12, 1965 The meeting was oalled to order by Chairman Weaver at 4:03 P. M. PRESENT: Chairman Weaver, Aldermen Wieaelmann and Budish, Mayor Gottfrled, Hiway Supt. Bertram and City Engineer Ruekert. The first matter before the Committee was in regard to Hlllendale Heights roads. Mr. Charles J. Melllce appeared in regard to the completion of the roads in the subdivision. This included the draln- age ditch, cleaning and sloping, grading, seeding of slopes. oiling and seal-koting and Comtnunloatlons from Ruekert & Mielke, City En- gineers, pertaining to the situation in the subdivision and culvert8 along the drainage ditch leading from the subdivision to Little Mus- kego Lake were read. Mr. Ruekert advised that everything in the subdivision excepting seeding, oiling and guarantee were satiafactorg. Some culvert8 may need to be replaced with larger ones along drainage ditch. Communication from Wisconsin Natural Gas Co. requesting permission to install approximately 27,364 feet of gas main along Hiway 24, Hiwag Westwood Drive and Hillendale subdivision. Alderman Budish moved to Y, grant permission to Wisconsin Natural Gas Co. to prooeed. Alderman Weaver seconded the motion and it carried. A new Highway Width Map of the City of Muekego was presented' by Mr. Ruekert. A revised bill from Don DeBack for extra time on McShane Road was reviewed. The Committee decided to call Mr. DeBack in for the next meeting on Thursday, August 19th, at 4:OO P. M. to consider the revised bill so payment can be made. The Jewel Crest Subdivision road repair project was discussed. Motion was made by Alderman Budish to authorize Mr. Ruekert to contact Wolf Construction Co. to get a definite coat figure for the repair of the roads in Jewel Crest Subdivision. Alderman Wieselmann seconded the motion and it carried. Construction of road8 and road building specifications were discussed. The Committee requested Mayor Gottfried to request new specification8 for future road+onstruction 80 the meeting to be held on August 19, B may be available by the next 19 5. Truck bids were again discussed dur,,to a 1966 model being substituted for a 1965 because they are not being produced, They are now producing only 1966 models. the Ford Pick-up. Motion was made by Alderman Wleselmann to purchase Alderman Budiah seconded the motion and it oarried unanimously. The Ford Pick-up Is to be purchased for $2,832.54 from Hiller Ford, Inc. After the roads and drainage ditch in Hill@ndale Subdivision meet the approval of the City Engineer, the Public Work8 Committee authorized Supt. Bertram to seal the roads. Motion was made by Chairman Weaver to grade area around City Hall and to coat with Peneprime, possibly before August 28th. Alderman Wieaelmann seconded the motion and it carried. Communication from Mr. L. 0. Schneider of the State Highway Commission of Wisconsin advising the City of Muskego of the acceptance of Moorland Road between Hiway 24 and US 18 to the F.A.S. syetem, making it eligible for Federal Aid in any reconstruction project, to be placed on file.
