CITY OF MUSKEGO /
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 2, 1965, 3:45 P.M.
PRESENT: Aldermen Weaver, Wieselmann, Budish, and Supt. Bertrsm.
First order of business was discussion of 'truck plow & sandermbids.
! Because of price, Holz Motor on Chevrolet was r;led out. The difference between the bids from International Harvester Co. and
Brownrigg & Baum on a G.M.C. were such that a larger payload (up to 6 yards) could be hauled on the I.H.C. as compared to 5 yards on the G.M.C. The total cost of the G.M.C. including chassis with cab,
Heil dump body i; yards, and Drott snow plow, body and plow mounted, less trade, was $8785.69. The cost of the I.H.C. including chassis

Alderman Budish moved, seconded by Alderman Wieselmann, to approve
bid submitted by International Harvester Co. Unanimously agreed
by Committee to recommend purchase of the International truck
by Finance Committee with the exception that the bearing type
pump or equal Chelsea power take-off be left off in equal ex-
change for auxiliary saddle tank to be installed.
Alderman Budish moved, seconded by Alderman Wieselmann, that a
double spindle sander be purchased from Central Engineering Co.
of Milwaukee, Wis., for $745.00, to refer same to Finance Committee
to purchase and have mounted on new I.H.C. truck.
Alderman Budish moved, seconded by Alderman Weaver, that guide-
lines for Highway Dept. and Employee Relationship be drawn up
for Supt. Bertram, but that same be tabled to a later date.
Motion carried.
Communication from U.S. Government Advertiser, relative to City of
Muskego placing name on mailing list, to,be placed on file.
Supt. Bertram advised Committee that weight limit signs were placed on City of Muskego roads where they were needed as of Tuesday,
March 30, 1965'.
Chairman Weaver moved, seconded by Alderman B udish, that Public
Works Committee recommend to the Council to draw up a resolution
regarding accesses to Highway 24 from Highway Y to Martin Dr. as
proposed by State of Wisconsin Highway Commission. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Chairman Weaver, seconded by Alderman
Wieselmann, that additional applications for Highway Dept.
employment to be placed on file for consideration as needed.

Motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Wieselmann, seconded by
Alderman Budish. Motion carried and meeting adjourned at 5:35 P.M.
