MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 21, 196.5.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Weaver at 4:05 P.M.
Present were Chairman Weaver, Alderman Wieselmann, Alderman Budish, Mayor Gottfried, Supt. Bertrsm and members of the Highway Crew.
Chairman Weaver read the requests for benefits from the highway crew and then stated the decision of the Committee relative to these requests. The final results will be presented to the Finance Committee for their approval, to be included in the 1966 budget. After a brief discussion on a few minor points the highway employes were dismissed.
A recommendation was proposed for salary for Supt. Bertram and to be presented by the Committee to the Finance Committee.
The entire Public Works Dept. budget for 1966 was reviewed by the Committee and will be presented to the Finance Committee on Monday, October 2sth, 1965'.
Letter from Ruekert and Mielke was read relative to the drainage channel from Big Muskego Lake to Woods Road. A motion was made by Alderman Budish, seconded by Alderman Wieselmann to recommend the rejection of the bids submitted for this project to the City Council. Carried.
The proposed Relocation Crowbar Road Agreement was read and discussed. A motion was made by Chairman Weaver, seconded by Alderman Budish to have the Mayor and City Clerk to enter
into the agreement with State Sand and Gravel Company for the completion of the Crowbar Road project. Carried.
A letter from the Milwaukee Buildings and Construction Trades Council was read and to be referred to the City Engineers.
A letter from Wisconsin Natural Gas Company relative to gas service to Robert Pluckdan was read. Alderman Budish made a motion, seconded by Ald. Wieselmann to recommend to the City Council to grant permission for this installation. Carried.
Two applications for employment received and to be placed on file.
A motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Budish and seconded by Alderman Wieselmann. Carried.
Meeting was adjourned at 5:45 P.M.
