PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 6, 2010
Chairman Ald.Tracy Snead called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Also present were
Ald. Bill Schneider, Ald. Neome Schaumberg, Public Works Superintendent Wayne
Delikat, City Engineer David Simpson, Ald. Neil Borgman, and Captain John LaTour.
Alderman Snead led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance.
The meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open Meetings Law on January 4,
2010.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF DECEMBER 2, 2009
Ald. Schneider moved to approve the minutes of meeting held December 2, 2009.
Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Motion carried 3-0.
CITY ENGINEER/PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT REPORT
None
STATUS OF PROJECTS
Janesville Road Phase II – City Engineer Simpson advised a newsletter regarding this
project will be made available by the County in the near future.
Durham Drive Reconstruction – There was nothing new to report.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Discuss No-Parking Signs on Luehring Drive – Ald. Schneider reported that he has
received many resident complaints regarding the narrowness of Luehring Drive and the
access and safety issues it presents. Captain LaTour reported that presently there are
“No Parking With Trailer” signs installed on the west side of the street. He suggested
that installing “No Parking At Any Time” signs may be a solution to the parking issue.
Ald. Schneider moved to change parking restriction from “No Parking With Trailer” to
“No Parking At Any Time” on the west side of north Luehring Drive. Seconded by Ald.
Schaumberg, motion carried 3-0.
