Public Works Committee - MINUTES - 5/18/2009 CITY OF MUSKEGO Approved PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MONDAY, May 18, 2009 Alderman Snead called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. with Ald. Schneider and Ald. Schaumberg present along with City Engineer David Simpson. Alderman Snead led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance. The meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting Laws on May 13, 2009. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF APRIL 20, 2009 Ald. Schneider moved to approve the minutes of April 20, 2009 in good faith. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Motion carried 3-0. CITY ENGINEER/PUBLIC WORKS SUPT. REPORT Crowbar Drive drainage issue near W219 S7712 Crowbar Drive – City Engineer Simpson informed the Committee that two homes were built in a low area along Crowbar Drive. Survey work was done in that area and it was determined that there is nothing the City can do at this time. Should development occur in Vernon in the area of concern, the City should work with Vernon to alleviate the problem. STATUS OF PROJECTS Janesville Road Phase II – City Engineer Simpson informed the Committee that the 60% plans from the County have not been received yet. UNFINISHED BUSINESS None NEW BUSINESS Discuss Refuse and Recycling Pickup and Transportation Contract – City Engineer Simpson informed the Committee that the contract will expire December 2009. The City will need to renegotiate or re-bid the contract.
