PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE
MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING HELD TUESDAY, JUNE 28, 2005
Chairman Chris Buckmaster called the meeting to order at 6:33 PM with Committee
Members Ald. Bob Melcher and Neil Borgman present along with Planning Director Jeff
Muenkel.
Chairman Buckmaster led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Chairman Buckmaster reported that the meeting was noticed in accordance with the
Open Meeting Law.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Lembezeder Court – Determination of required public road improvement – Reno Berg
was present to discuss this item. Ald. Buckmaster explained since this item was on
Public Works there has been discussion at the Plan Commission. Three items that
need clarification are:
- Review of liability and maintenance agreement from attorney
- History of the policy
- Construction standards for unimproved roads
Ald. Melcher moved to defer to the July 18, 2005, Public Works meeting.
Seconded by Ald. Borgman. Motion carried 3-0.
Approval of the minutes from May 24, 2005 and June 20, 2005
Ald. Borgman moved to approve the June 20, 2005 minutes. Seconded by Ald.
Melcher. Ald. Melcher asked the minutes be amended to include under the Status of
Projects – Subdivision Development, Ald. Melcher requested a report of single family
homes, multi-family homes and demolition permits from the Building Department. Ald.
Melcher moved to amend the minutes of June 20, 2005. Seconded by Ald.
Borgman. Motion carried 3-0.
Ald. Melcher moved to approve the minutes of June 20, 2005, as amended.
Seconded by Ald. Borgman. Motion carried 3-0.
Ald. Borgman moved to approve the minutes of May 24, 2005. Seconded by Ald.
Melcher.
ADJOURNMENT
Ald. Melcher moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:47 PM. Seconded by Ald.
Buckmaster; motion carried 3-0.
