SPECIAL PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MEETING
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2004
Chairman Chris Buckmaster called the meeting to order at 6:52 PM. Also present were
Committee Members Salentine and Borgman.
Those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance
Chairman Buckmaster noted that the meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open
Meeting Law.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. Status of Freedom Square Pond Project
Ald. Borgman stated a meeting of the Homeowner’s Association was scheduled for
November 2, 2004 at 6:30 PM. Engineering/Building Inspection Director McMullen will
be in attendance. Ald. Salentine moved to defer. Ald. Borgman seconded; motion
carried. A recommendation will come back to the Committee following the outcome of
the November 2, 2004 meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
Review Quotes for City-Owned Vehicles
The following bids were received for three city-owned vehicles:

Sean McMullen recommended that the following quotes be accepted:

Ald. Borgman moved to approve the recommended quotes for the 1999 Squad
Car from Chris Hackerman in the amount of $1,985.75, the Chevy Plow truck from
Tom Zahn in the amount of $1,755.55, and the Ford Patrol Truck from H. J. Wolf in
the amount of $11,250.00. Seconded by Ald. Salentine. Motion carried 3-0.
ACCEPTANCE OF IMPROVEMENTS
Martin Estates, Candlewood Creek, Prairie Meadows; Reserve of Champions
Village; Riverview Court and Sarah Estates
Sean McMullen advised that the developers have made the final preparation for the
completion of the subdivision improvements for all of the above and he recommends
that the Committee accept the improvements for these subdivisions contingent on the
final restoration and punch list completion to the Engineering and Building Inspection
Director’s satisfaction. Ald. Salentine moved to recommend acceptance of
improvements for the above subdivisions contingent on the final restoration and
punch list completion to the Engineering and Building Inspection Director’s
satisfaction. Seconded by Ald. Borgman, motion carried 3-0.
ADJOURNMENT
Ald. Borgman moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:59 PM. Ald. Salentine
seconded; motion carried 3-0.
