SPECIAL PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MEETING - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY, JUNE 10, 2003
Chairman Nancy Salentine called the meeting to order at 6:46 PM. Present were Committee
Members Ald. Chris Buckmaster and Ald. Eileen Madden. Also present were
Engineering/Building Inspection Director Sean McMullen, and those per the attached list.
Chairman Salentine led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Chairman Salentine noted that the meeting was posted in accordance with the Open Meeting
Law.
NEW BUSINESS
Review Stormwater Management Plans for Discovery Days
Engineering/Building Inspection Director Sean McMullen reviewed with the Committee the
stormwater management plans for Discovery Days located in the existing Sentry-MSI
development, and advised that the plans meet all of the City’s regulations. Ald. Madden moved
to approve the stormwater management plans as submitted for Discovery Days. Seconded
by Ald. Buckmaster; motion carried.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Status of Rosewood Subdivision Project
Mr. McMullen stated he has the agreements for the five affected properties; the City Attorney
needs to review and approve. The agreements will then be forwarded to the property owners.
His staff will research the mortgage holders, as this information is required. This item will be
placed on the June 23 agenda.
Review and Recommend Approval of Amendment to Chapter 34/MMSD Stormwater
Regulations
Mr. McMullen stated the meeting with MMSD was scheduled for June 17 and information
would be available after that time.
NEW BUSINESS (Continued)
Review Amended Stormwater Plans for Redmond Development
Engineering/Building Inspection Director McMullen reviewed with the Committee the amended
stormwater plans for Redmond Development and advised that these plans had previously been
approved but they submitted revised plans, as the water will no longer drain to the proposed
Community Center retention pond. Ald. Buckmaster moved to approve the revised
stormwater plans as they meet all of the City’s requirements, subject to minor technical
corrections to the plans. Seconded by Ald. Madden; motion carried.

Review Stormwater Plans for Mini-Warehouse (George Alex)
Mr. McMullen reviewed with the Committee the stormwater management plans for a mini-
warehouse for George Alex located on the southeast corner of Loomis Drive and Hwy. 45, and
advised that the plans meet all of the City’s regulations. Ald. Madden moved to approve the
stormwater management plans as submitted, subject to minor technical corrections to the
plan. Seconded by Ald. Buckmaster, motion carried.
Review Revised Storm Easement – Minelli Property – S72 W13848 Woods Road
The committee reviewed the grading plan submitted showing changes to reflect the existing
floodplain on the Minelli property. Ald. Madden moved to approve revised storm easement
subject to approval by FEMA and the DNR. Seconded by Ald. Buckmaster; motion
carried.
COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS AS AUTHORIZED BY
LAW – None.
SUBDIVIDER’S EXHIBITS – None.
ENGINEERING/BUILDING INSPECTION DIRECTOR’S REPORT –
HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT – Nothing new to report.
ADJOURNMENT – Ald. Buckmaster moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:56 PM. Seconded
by Ald. Madden, motion carried unanimously.
