Present were committee member Ald. Patrick Patterson, Engineer I David Simpson, Sean O’Connor (developer), and Kalvin Klimeck (developer’s engineer). NEW BUSINESS Review grading, storm sewer and stormwater management plans for The Settlement on Woods Road – David Simpson reviewed with the committee the construction drawings for The Settlement on Woods Road and advised that these plans have been corrected to meet all of the City’s requirements. While awaiting final approval from the City of Muskego and all other approving agencies, the developer would like to begin grading operation within the Right of Way, the outlots, and drainage swales. This would allow for immediate installation of th underground utilities upon all approvals. Mr. Klimeck presented a letter dated November 12, 2002 from Pete Wood of the DNR. This letter outlined some concerns the DNR would like resolved before construction activities begin. Mr. Klimeck explained that all points would be resolved before grading except point four which was resolved between Pete Wood and Mr. Klimeck. This was resolved by mass grading operations being changed to grading within the Right of Ways, drainage swales, and drainage basins. Ald. Patterson moved to grant permission for the developer to begin initial grading operations within the Right of Way, the drainage swales and drainage basins upon two conditions being met. The first condition being that Sean McMullen must verify that Pete Wood has agreed to grading without stabilization within the areas specified above.
