PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MEETING - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING HELD TUESDAY, MAY 19, 1998
The meeting was called to order at 5:48 P.M. by Chairman Pionek. Also present were
Committee Members Chiaverotti and Salentine, Highway Supt. John Loughney and Mayor
David De Angelis.
Ald. Pionek noted that the meeting was posted in accordance with the Open Meeting Law on
May 18, 1998.
Purchase of salt for 1998-99 Road Program Discussion ensued regarding a possible switch to
pure salt for winter road maintenance instead of the sand/salt mixture currently being used and
the potential impact on the lakes. Ald. Salentine moved to approve salt purchase of 2300 ton
for 1998-99 road program. Seconded by Ald. Chiaverotti, motion carried 3-0.
Ald. Salentine moved to adjourn at 5:59 PM. Seconded by Ald. Chiaverotti, motion carried 3-0.
