PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MONDAY, JUNE 23, 1997
The meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM by Chairman D’Acquisto. Also present were committee
members Pionek and Woodard, Supt. John Loughney, Ald. Mark Slocomb, Sean McMullen (Ruekert &
Mielke) and those per the attached list.
Mr. Bob Gassert, Metropolitan Engineering, appeared before the committee to discuss preliminary
grading plans for the property on Tans Drive for Muskego Theater. Sean McMullen (Ruekert & Mielke)
reviewed comments that were put together by Richard Eberhardt after review of the first submittal of the
Topographic Map, Proposed Site Grading Plan and Storm Water Summary, dated June 18, 1997. The
committee voiced concern with the incomplete plan presented and Mr. Gassert explained that this was an
overall site grading plan for the property and that more specific plans will be submitted in the future with
submittal for Muskego Theater. Supt. Loughney was excused at approximately 8:10 PM as a result of a
possible emergency at Linnie Lac Dam. Richard Eberhardt (Ruekert & Mielke) arrived at 8:15 PM Ald.
Pionek moved to defer action until Mr. Gassert has met with Richard Eberhardt (Ruekert & Mielke) to
reach compliance with all engineering concerns and that if this was done in a timely manner, that the
committee would be receptive to holding a special Public Works Committee prior to the June 8, 1997
Common Council meeting if all items are in compliance. Seconded by Ald. Woodard, motion carried 3-0.
The committee discussed with Mr. Bob Gassert, Metropolitan Engineering, revised drainage plans for
Muskego Regency. Mr. Gassert provided a pencil sketch which the committee would not accept noting
that contours were missing and entire plan was incomplete. Supt. Loughney returned at 8:40 PM and he
and Chairman D’Acquisto were excused at 8:45 PM They returned at 9:10 PM and at that time the
meeting was adjourned to a future date due to the Linnie Lac situation.
The committee requested all in attendance to put their names and items to be addressed on a sheet of
paper and that the committee would be calling a special meeting to complete all items on the agenda.
The meeting adjourned at 9:12 PM
