MINUTES OF MEETING HELD THURSDAY, JANUARY 4, 1996
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman D'Acquisto. Also present were Committee Members Suhr and Misko,
Mayor De Angelis, Ald. Rasmussen, Ald. Salentine, Ald. Patterson and Public Work Superintendent John Loughney.
The Committee noted that the meeting was posted on January 3, 1996, in accordance with the Open Meeting Law.
The Committee reviewed minutes of December 18, 1995, and corrections were made within the segment of minutes relating to
alcohol and controlled substances testing.
Further discussion was held on the proposed CDL Drug 6 Alcohol
Policy. The Committee reviewed and discussed policies utilized by
other communities, including the City of Franklin and the City of
Brookfield. The Committee agreed that the policy text as adopted by the City of Brookfield was appropriate. The Committee decided
to leave policy as to pre-employment alcohol testing in place,
with changes made in Appendix B, including requiring the driver to
submit to an immediate blood test in the event of an inadequate
urine sample. Appendix E was also changed, replacing the term
Director Of Human Resources in the Brookfield text with the word CITY in the proposed Muskego policy. The Brookfield text was also
to be corrected with any reference to Brookfield deleted and
replaced with the City of Muskego. Ald. Suhr moved to recommend
adoption of the policy subject to above changes in Appendix B and
Appendix E, pending Laboratory approval. Seconded by Ald.
D'Acquisto, motion carried 3-O.
Ald. Misko moved to adjourn at 8:50 P.M. Seconded by Ald. Suhr,
motion carried.
