MINUTES OF MEETING HELD THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 1994
The meeting was called to order at 7:lO P.M. by Chairman Edwin P.
Dumke. Also present were Committee Members Schneider and Misko, Mayor De Angelis, Public Works Superintendent John Loughney, City Engineer Mike Campbell and those per the attached list.
The Committee discussed Urban/Rural Drainage.
Mr. Al Will and Kalvin Klimeck appeared before the Committee to
discuss status of Terra Development projects. A discussion was
held on Overlook Bay-Phase I. Correspondence from Ruekert & Mielke dated February 24, 1994 was reviewed. Ald. Schneider moved
to approve the retrofit of Pond #1 to repair breach on the pond
and adherence to the following recommendation from the City
Engineers in their February 24, 1994 correspondence: Pond #l to
provide for a minimum of 2:l sideslopes and an emergency
overflow. Riprap needs to be provided on the emergency overflow downslope. Seconded by Ald. Misko, motion carried. Mr. Leon
Schufletowski, Janesville Road, appeared to express his concerns on the entrance ponds to Overlook Bay. Mr. Al Will agreed to look
into the problem and either repair or come back to the Committee
for further discussion.
0 Mr. Greg Gabor appeared before the Committee to continue
discussion on his concerns with drainage on his property. The
Committee deferred action until the April 7, 1994 meeting to
enable Committee Members to make onsite inspections.
Mr. Wil Hein and Dick Jahnke, Lakeview Highlands Development, appeared before the Committee to discuss drainage concerns. The
following action was taken:
1. Outfall to be lowered at Tomar Lane Retention Pond
2. Lakeview North needs outfall structure completed - No additional ground to be stripped.
3. Erosion blanket to be applied to retention pond on
inside, top and outside (elevation 42") to be applied
after snow plowed away on February 25, 1994.
4. A 24" pipe to be installed at southeast Corner of pond. Can then proceed with storm sewer piping only.
5. Property to be posted for no off-road vehicles.
Police Department will be notified to enforce. Soil
Erosion Control Inspector to be notified to inspect
all phases. Wil Vidal, Chairman of the Little Muskego
Lake District, stated that the Lake Association will
be monitoring progress.
The Committee reviewed drainage plans for Appletree Estates and will discuss at the April 7, 1994 meeting.

0 The Committee reviewed the plans for Kimberly Estates and noted
that the retention pond must be reconfigured. This will be further discussed at the April meeting.
Mr. Wil Vidal, Chairman of the Little Muskego Lake District, appeared before the Committee to discuss waiving of $500.00
storage charge for Weed Harvestor as the equipment is not being
stored inside the Public Works Garage, but outside. Ald.
Schneider moved to waive charge. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion
carried.
supt. Loughney reported that, because of the early thaw, Class B
roads were posted. The Committee determined that Supt. Loughney
could now issue three (3) day permits allowing contractors
temporary use of the posted roads.
The Committee discussed the status of Champions Village and noted
that Mr. Scott Krause is in contact with the DNR.
supt. Loughney reported on the poor conditions of the turn lanes
on CTH L. and the Committee will send a letter to Waukesha County
requesting their attention.
The meeting adjourned at 11:02 P.M.
