MINUTES OF MEETING HELD THURSDAY, AUGUST 25, 1994
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Chairman Dumke. Also present were Committee Members Misko and D'Acquisto, Mayor De
Angelis, Supt. John Loughney, Michael Campbell (Ruekert & Mielke),
Ald. Taube, and those per the attached list.
The Committee discussed Urban/Rural Drainage. It was noted that
there is a a drainage problem across the Irish Springhouse parking
lot as well as Wentland ditch in from of the Habitat For Humanity
House. supt. Loughney advised that the property owners were
discussing possible alternatives; i.e. paving of lot, and that the
City will solve the ditch problem based on their choice of
alternates.
The Committee discussed drainage problem for Meadow Green
Subdivision. Alternatives for alleviation of problem discussed
due to developer's failure to follow master grading plan which did not include installation of a storm sewer for the adjacent area.
The Committee will request that the adjoining property owner, Mr.
Glen Pellmann, appear at the September meeting to further
discuss.
Mr. Art Takishian appeared to request the Committee to discourage
the use of asphalt or concrete invert culverts. supt. Loughney stated that he does not agree with the rationale and objectives
stated by Mr. Takishian.
MS. Mary Rupcic (Brennan Drive) appeared before the Committee to
continue discussion of her drainage problem. supt. Loughney
advised that he did shoot grades on all affected properties and
saw no problem. Ald. Taube will work with her to possibly
identify the problem.
Mr. Parker Milewski and Mr. Al Will appeared before the Committee
to discuss status of Terra Development projects. A discussion was
held regarding Lake Forest paving work; in particular, Cedar Hill
Court. Representatives from Terra Development stated that their
contractor did correct the problem. Ald. D'Acquisto stated that
he personally inspected Cedar Hill Court, as well as discussing it
with two constituents, and the road is not satisfactory.
Representatives from Terra promise to go back and repair. Ald.
Taube discussed filter mound. At the last meeting Terra
Development agreed to correct the problem. Filter mound has not
been replaced. Storm sewer accepted except for some restoration
bolts missing from castings. Trees to be replaced after September
15, 1994. Sale signs to be removed as only one (1) lot remains.
Ald. D'Acquisto moved to stipulate September 15, 1994, as the
completion date for the berm installation for Sunset Drive, at
Overlook Bay, or the City will install. Seconded by Ald. Misko,
motion carried. Mr. Al Will noted that restoration for Overlook
Bay is to begin the week of August 29, 1994.
Mr. Larry Schmidt appeared before the Committee but did not have completed drainage plans for his land division. There was no
action taken and the Committee requested that the minutes reflect

0 that the July meeting clearly spelled out what was required for
plan approval.
The Committee discussed status of turn lane/CTH L & Lannon Drive.
Mayor advised that Waukesha County Dept. of Transportation has notified Mr. Zillig of a new objection. Mr. Zillig is working with them and still hopes to begin construction within the next
month pending resolution of problem.
Michael Campbell presented the Committee with the plan which he
has submitted to the DNR on the Retrofit/Spillway for Little Muskego Lake Dam. Ruekert & Mielke to explore modification of
pipe to avoid erosion, and possibility of a light being installed on spillway.
supt. Loughney informed the Committee of the following quotes
received for curb and gutter repair/replacement for Meadow Green
West Subdivision:
Payne & Dolan $33.00 per foot
Wm. Beaudoin & Sons, Inc. $42.40 per foot
D. C. Burbach, Inc. $21.50 per foot
Ald. Misko moved to recommend Award of Contract to D. C. Burbach, Inc. Seconded by Ald. D'Acquisto, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed status of drainage concern/Grove Street (Galetka). Supt. Loughney advised that he did shoot grades and
felt that the solution to the problem is the responsibility of the
property owner. supt. Loughney will contact the property owner to
discuss his findings.
The Committee reviewed status of Moorland Road Extension. Mayor
De Angelis and Supt. Loughney will be meeting with Waukesha County
Department of Transportation the week of August 29, 1994, to
discuss status and determine implementation.

The Committee further reviewed drainage easement for the Ludwig
Subdivision. Ald. Misko will advise property owner to contact the
DNR and Tom Chiconas (Erosion Inspector for the City of Muskego).
The Committee reviewed with Engineer Stan Potrykus a drainage
concern on the Fred Washa property on Hillendale Drive. Temporary
measures will be taken prior to final curb and gutter installation, weather permitting.
Mr. Ron Karfonta appeared before the Committee to discuss drainage
problem on Tomar Lane that is resulting in a backyard flooding
problem. supt. Loughney will contact Jahnke & Jahnke to request
that they remove the stone and rectify problem. Ald. D'Acquisto
will monitor situation and keep Mr. Karfonta informed.
Mr. Wil Vidal appeared before the Committee to request storing of
Weed Harvesters for the Little Muskego Lake District on the Public

Works Garage property. Ald. D'Acquisto moved to approve.
Seconded by Ald. Misko, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed drainage easement for Mercury Drive. Ald.
Misko moved to recommend taking entire vacated portion of Mercury
Drive as a drainage easement and to authorize the City Engineers
to proceed with the necessary documents for Council approval.
Seconded by Ald. D'Acquisto, motion carried.
Scott Krause and his engineer, Lew Averill, appeared before the
Committee to discuss exhibits for Champions Villages (CCV). Final
details will be worked out with the City Engineers and Supt. Loughney and finalized for September's meeting.
The Committee reviewed storm sewer and roadway exhibits for Adrian
Drive. Ald. D'Acquisto moved to approve subject to possible
changes in cleanouts to be approved by the City Engineer and Supt.
Loughney. Seconded by Ald. Misko, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed the following requests for Acceptance of Improvements:
Lake Forest Residential - Storm Sewer/Roads - Ald.
D'Acquisto moved to deny as paving work on Cedar
Hill Court is not satisfactory. Seconded by Ald.
Misko, motion carried.
Lake Forest Addn. #l - Roads - Ald. D'Acquisto moved
to deny as there is a catch basin problem that needs to be resolved. Seconded by Ald. Misko, motion carried.
Lake Forest Addn. #2 - Storm Sewer/Roads - Ald. D'Acquisto moved to accept road but to deny storm sewer. Seconded by
Ald. Misko, motion carried.
Plum Creek - Storm Sewer/Roads. Ald. Misko moved to
accept roads but to deny storm sewer. Seconded by Ald.
D'Acquisto, motion carried.
Plum Creek Addn. #l - Storm Sewer/Roads - Petitioner withdrew
request.
Overlook Bay - Storm Sewer. The Committee deferred action
until bolts replaced.
The meeting adjourned at 11:30 P.M.
