MINUTES OF MEETING HELD THURSDAY, APRIL 7, 1994
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman
Dumke. Also present were Committee Members Schneider and
Misko, Mayor De Angelis, Public Works Superintendent John
Loughney, Ald. Taube, Richard Eberhardt (Ruekert & Mielke) and
those per the attached list.
The Committee discussed urban and rural drainage. Mr. Wayne
Salentine appeared before the Committee to discuss Parkland
South drainage.
The Committee discussed status of Terra Development projects.
Ruekert & Mielke is checking final check list on Plum Creek,
Plum Creek Addn. #l, Lake Forest Single Family-Phase I, Lake
Forest Addn. #l and Lake Forest Addn. #2. The Committee is
also requesting that Calvin Klimeck appear at the April 28,
1994 Public Works Committee meeting.
The Committee discussed status of liquidation for the Public
Works Garage Addition and reviewed letter from City Attorney
agreeing to the City retaining $25,000.00 as liquidated damages
for failure of F. C. Price to complete its work on the Garage
in a timely manner and the City will also retain an additional
$5,000 for brick sealing and other repair. The $5,000 will be
paid to F. C. Price upon satisfactory completion of all needed
repairs.
Fay Amerson appeared before the Committee to to discuss erosion
control projects involving the following 1994 Priority Lake
Projects:
Jewel Creek Streambank Protection Project
Holz Island Shoreline Stabilization Project
Road Ditch Enhancement Project
Wetland Reclamation and Enhancement Project Information and Education Activities
Ald . Schneider moved to recommend City endorsement of the above
w-0 jects. Seconded by Ald. Misko, motion carried.
Wil Vidal and Faye Amerson reviewed with the Committee the
application forms for the above projects.
Mr. Mike Haessly appeared before the Committee representing St.
Francis Savings & Loan to discuss the design of the catch basin
Ald. Misko moved to

proposed to be installed on Lannon Drive.
authorize Supt. Loughney to work with Mr. Haessly to come up
with an acceptable design for the catch basin and also review
condition of culverts and determine whether they are
serviceable. Seconded by Ald. Schneider, motion carried.

Under Correspondence, Mayor De Angelis advised the Committee
that Mr. Zillig had notified him that the City will be
receiving a construction schedule for the Lannon Drive turn
lane shortly.
The meeting adjourned at 9:45 P.M.
