Public Works Committee - MINUTES - 6/24/1992PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 24, 1992
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Dumke at 7:05 P.M.
Also present were Committee Members Schneider, Mayor Salentine,
Ald. Misko and Superintendent Loughney.
The Committee discussed Urban/Rural Drainage. The Committee
reviewed with Mrs. Adams and Mr. & Mrs. Pufall the information
from the City Engineers dated June 17, 1992, regarding storm
drainage for the portion of Lions Park Drive Extended to
Pioneer Drive. In order to service the Kelly, Gratzek, Pufall
and Adams property, the storm sewer from the end of Lions Park Extended on Pufall, Adams, Gratzek dedication to the proposed
concrete headwall must be 36 inch diameter due to the cover and grade available. If the Valley and Ann Drive area is not
included, than the storm sewer would only need to be 21 inch
diameter. The Committee determined that the area must be
served by storm sewer and that the City will pay for the
difference between the 27 inch and 36 inch diameter which will
be approximately $5,000.00. The property owners will meet to
discuss splitting of costs.
The Committee discussed status of Public Works Garage. The
Committee directs the City Engineers to draft a letter to F. C. Price advising them that the $500.00 per day penalty for
noncompletion should be collectable; May 11, 1992 was the original completion date.

the Tess Corners Elementary School property to install right
turn lane on Durham & CTH L. The approximate cost for this improvement will be $25,000.00.

are finalizing soil borings for the eleven (11) properties affected by the DNR ruling as to being owners of the Little
Muskego Lake Dam and that the attorney for the affected property owners will be notified.

sewer requirements were not discussed.
