MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 21, 1992
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman Dumke.
Also present were Committee Members Taube and Simmons, Mayor
Salentine, Superintendent Loughney and those per the attached list.
The Committee reviewed the subdivider exhibits for the Creek Side
Subdivision. It was determined that the developer would sign an
agreement with the City and post a bond or letter of credit in an
amount to be double the estimated cost to clean out the ditches
affected the proposed subdivision up to the easterly property
line. The developer is in the process of securing DNR approval to
clean the ditches. The downstream property owners were requesting
that the water runoff, after development, not exceed
pre-development and, if necessary, will be controlled by a
detention pond. The developer will meet these requirements prior
to final approval.
The Committee discussed drainage concern of Mrs. Giesegh (S77
W18582 Janesville Road). The property was inspected and the
members concurred that the problem is not the responsibility of
the City and, therefore, denied request.
The Committee discussed proposed amendments to fee schedule and
amended as follows to allow for 20% increase:

Ald. Simmons moved to approve fee increases. Seconded by Ald.
Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed correspondence from the City Engineers dated January 14, 1992, regarding design of the high water alarm
for the Little Muskego Lake Dam. They recommend installing a
telemetry unit in lieu of the dialer so that the levels can be monitored and recorded by the new SCADA system. The cost to
install this design is $8,000.00 Ald. Simmons moved to approve.
Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. This item was budgeted
for in 1992.
The Committee reviewed an item referred from the Public Safety
Committee at their January 9, 1992 meeting where they request that
the Public Works Committee discuss the possible cutting of
existing ditch at S70 W13775 Tess Corners Drive to four (4) feet.
Ald. Dumke moved to deny request. Seconded by Ald. Simmons, motion carried.
Mayor and Supt. Loughney will be meeting with Al Merfert on
Friday, February 28, to discuss his drainage concern.
The Committee discussed use of tractor by Public Utilities
Department for emergency power for Well Pump Station #2. Ald.
Dumke moved to approve request. Seconded by Ald. Simmons, motion
carried.
The Committee discussed unimproved city streets. It was determined that Riese Drive would remain as a "T" street and if if became a problem in the future, the City would have to install a
cul de sac.

The Committee reviewed storm drainage plans for Denoon Point Estates. Ald. Dumke moved to approve subject to City Engineer's approval. Seconded by Ald. Simmons, motion carried.
A policy has been established whereby all plans must be reviewed
by the City Engineer prior to being placed on the Public Works
Committee agenda for committee review.
It was noted that the resident with a drainage concern on Jewel Crest/Garnet appeared before the Committee to advise that the
situation has been rectified.
