MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 25, 1991
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Dumke at 7:OO P.M.
Also present were Committee Members Taube and Simmons and those
per the attached list.
The Committee discussed Urban/Rural drainage. All monies for this
year are allocated for engineering expenses on Little Muskego Lake Dam upgrading.
The Committee discussed drainage concern of M & W Marine on
College Avenue. Mr. Jerry Kurth and Heritage Church want to see
elevations plans. Mayor Salentine and Supt. Loughney will secure
plans and meet with the concerned property owners.
Ald. Taube updated the Committee on a recent meeting held at the
City Engineer's office at which Mr. Sturtevant (DNR) was in
attendance and at which time he stated that a dike must be constructed west of the present Dam.
Ald. Dumke reported that the reconstruction of Schultz Lane is in
progress and on scheduled.
There was nothing to report on the Public Works Garage addition.
The drainage concern on the Diekfuss and Golden Country Estates is on hold until Diekfuss' crops are removed.
supt. Loughney reported that the resealing has been started.
Mayor Salentine reported that he had met with affected property
owners to discuss the deceleration lanes on Lannon Drive. Mr. Zillig, representing the property owners requesting a land
division of the McAdams property, has placed the item on the
August 7, 1991, Finance Committee agenda.
The Committee discussed bonding for roads. Ald. Taube moved to
recommend a $40,000 bond for BFI project with traffic restricted
to enter off of Highway 36 and Highway 45 and no more than eight
(8) trucks per day. Seconded by Ald. Simmons, motion carried.
The storm drainage complaint for Bob Klenz on Bass Bay was
deferred until Mr. Klenz notifies the Committee that he will be
in attendance.
The Committee discussed a request for a road-opening permit for
Center Drive in order to connect two properties on Richards Lane to municipal water. Both property are able to be serviced through
the back of their properties which abut Richards Lane. Ald. Taube
moved to allow hook-up for both properties. Seconded by Ald.
Simmons, motion carried. The Committee requests that there be
only one opening for both properties if this meets with Utility Superintendent's approval.

The Committee reviewed site grading and storm sewer plans for
Lakeview Highlands and Lakeview Highlands Addn. Ald. Taube moved
to recommend approval subject to City Engineers reviewing and
addressing the Committee's concern on how the silt traps are to be
constructed along with water flow from 18" pipe on Adrian Drive.
Seconded by Ald. Simmons, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed road construction, site grading and storm sewer plans for Meadow Green West Addn. #3. Ald. Simmons moved to
approve subject to the following items being addressed by the City Engineers: storm sewer detail and developer installing ditch on Lannon Drive. Approval is also subject to City Engineers and DNR
approval of floodplain line and its affect on development.
Seconded by Ald. Taube, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed proposed road section for private roads for
Losik Associates for Lake Forest Development's multi-family area.
Mr. Bruce Michael from PMCS, a partner with Terra Development on
the multi-family development, questioned if the City has the authority to approve private roads. Ald. Taube moved to approve
road built to City specifications subject to Attorney Molter agreeing that the City can require curb and gutters for private roads. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed water problem on East Drive (Gary
Fielder). supt. Loughney will research.
supt. Loughney reported that he will contract to have a salt drainage pipe installed from salt storage area to road at an approximate cost of $4,990.00 to be billed to account
