MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 1, 1991
The meeting was called to order at 6:20 P.M. by Acting Chairman Taube. Also present were Committee Member Simmons and Supt. Loughney.
The Committee reviewed written request of Mr. Tom Amann, dated June 21, 1991, to clean roadside ditch to restore it to its original condition. The Committee agreed to restoration subject
to Attorney review of the Pearl Bruce easement document dated
August 3, 1983.
Drainage concerns in the Lake Forest Development were discussed.
The berm requirement will be completed within one week and the
sediment trap that was agreed upon at the June meeting will be
completed within thirty (30) days.
The Committee emphasized the need for Developers to comply with the City's soil erosion control ordinance.
The Committee reviewed status of drainage concern for the Eiche/Pellmann property. The City has agreed to allow an interim
pond to act as a detention pond on the park land for the
multi-housing and Mr. Barker has agreed to escrow the dollars
based upon the flow percentages. The Parkland South land division
will provide for a swale to connect interim pond to the Lake Point
Estates detention pond. The finalization of the Lakeridge
Apartments involvement will be included in the Subdivider's Agreement.
The Retention pond requirement for the M & W Marine property on
College Avenue was discussed. The Heritage Church is requesting
grading plans and an engineering decision for the ditch which is
located on their property. M 6 W Marine will provide the grading
plan and Ruekert & Mielke has been contacted to design the ditch
improvement. Mr. Jerry Kurth is receptive to allowing the City Of
Muskego to clean the present swale which will by the outlet of the
detention pond on M & W Marine's property.
The Committee noted that Mr. Sturtevant of the DNR has contacted
the City to discuss status of Little Muskego Lake Dam project.
The Schultz Lane Road Project has been started.

been resolved.

be taken until the building is removed and the area graded.

Ald. Taube met with City Engineer Todd Weik who stated he may be
able to design a silt trap to handle water from the surrounding
area. The Committee deferred action until the potential for grant
funding can be determined.
The drainage on Bellview was put on hold until the Eiche property
develops.
The Committee reviewed storm sewer/road/drainage plans for West
Park Place. The plans were approved subject to the approval of
the City Engineers. The Committee expressed concern on Hwy. L for
a potential vision problem.

Audrey Court) and determined that curbs and gutters will be
required.
Country Brook Estates was removed from the agenda until exhibits
are available.
The Committee discussed road improvement for Lannon Drive and
decided to request four lanes instead of three from bottom of hill to Hwy. L. This cost must be passed onto all parties.
supt. Loughney informed the Committee on the status of resealing
the defective sealcoating done by American Asphalt. American
Asphalt is willing to fund one-third of the resealing costs which
would be awarded to the 1991 resealing contractor, Wolf
Construction. It was determined that the City of Muskego's
contribution should be no more than twenty percent (20%) of the
cost and the sanding and insurance claims cost by the
responsibility of American Asphalt. It was recommended that the
bond of $30,000 be increased by Wolf Construction to reflect the additional dollars involved. The Committee requests a legal
opinion as to who is responsible for future problems in the event
that the areas that our resealed are defective.
