Public Works Committee - MINUTES - 5/24/19900 e PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 24, 1990 The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Chairman Dumke. Also present were Committee Member Taube, Mayor Salentine, Superintendent Loughney and those per the attached list. The Committee discussed Urban/Rural Drainage projects. Ald. Taube requested that the Committee look into siltration trap for Richdorf and Racine Avenue. The Committee will see what funds are available when Tess Corners project has been completed. The Committee discussed status of request to install driveway over drainage easement for Mr. Wahlen (W147 S7587 Freedom Avenue). Mr. Wahlen has contacted the City and it appears as if the driveway will not encroach upon the drainage easement. Mr. Wahlen is now requesting permission to plant shrubs in the easement. Ald. Dumke will meet with Mr. Wahlen to review request. The Committee discussed status of Schultz Lane. The City is waiting for Release of Property Tax Lien from Waukesha County on Tobianski. The City is waiting for signed documents from Lynn Kurer. Attorney Molter is presently reviewing document supplied regarding a satisfaction of judgment which appeared on updated title commitment. Attorney Molter is drafting new documents for Virgil Kluss and stockholders of the Gun Club which Mrs. Klauser will attempt to get signed. All other easements/documents have been signed. Supt. Loughney reviewed the request of Mr. Eisenhut on Parkland Drive and has agreed to install an invert, 4 ft. x 100 ft. at a cost of $7.00 per foot. The Committee discussed drainage concern on Bay Lane Terrace. Supt. Loughney will pump out east side to west side of drainage ditch. The Committee further discussed Lake Denoon Siltration Pond. Richard Heckel, a Boy Scout Leader, and his troup have offered to work on pond. The City will check to see if the scouts would be covered by City's insurance. The Public Works Department has agreed to supply riprap and clay. Warning signs will be erected by the Public Works Department and Ald. D. Sanders will inform people in the Subdivision of the project. The Committee discussed moving of oil tank from Hwy. L and agreed that there is room for the tank in the existing dumpster enclosure. Supt. Loughney will relocate and review after one year. Public Works Committee - Page 2 May 24, 1990 The Committee discussed a drainage concern at S68 W17906 East Drive, the Gary Fiedler property. Supt. Loughney will trench out drainway swale from back lot line to road. A french drain will be installed further up the road from the barricaded location. The Committee discussed ingress/egress concern on Ruby Drive. The Committee requests that the Department of Planning & Development provide a report as to erosion on back lot and edge of road that was installed by Mr. Harr. Mr. Bill Carity, Terra Development, is questioning how much of a swath is required to cut back from the outer edge of the road. Ald. Simmons moved to approve a 55 ft. width through the wooded area. The City still retains the total 60 ft. road right-of- way. Seconded by Ald. Taube, motion carried. Ald. Simmons moved to release funds for the Adrain Schmidt property. Seconded by Ald. Taube, motion carried. Stan Potrykus presented storm drainage and road plans for Parkland Extended. Ald. Simmons moved to approve plans as submitted. Seconded by Ald. Taube, motion carried.
