Chief Johnson, Supt. Loughney and those per the attached list.
The Committee reviewed the status of Schutlz Lane. The Committee

all documents.
The Committee discussed the status of Tess Corners Drainage
Project in regard to the replacement of wood for Mr. Gary Weber,
W142 S6804 Gaulke Drive that was removed in error by the
Contractor. The Committee determined that Supt. Loughney will
correspond with the contractor, Timme, Inc., to determine if he
is willing to pay for one cord of wood which the City will secure
from a local vendor and have delivered to Mr. Weber.
supt. Loughney informed the Committee that a solution to Mr.
Wernette's drainage concern on Restful Lane would be installation
of a concrete invert; all costs to be the responsibility of Mr. Wernette and costs would be determined on time and material. A
letter will be written to Mr. Wernette advising of above.
Mr. John Ingersoll appeared before the Committee to inquire of
the City's intent on his request to have the waste oil tank
relocated. Ald. Simmons moved to have waste oil tank relocated
with area to be determined at a future date. Seconded by Ald. Taube, motion carried. Ald. Taube requests that the Committee secure a written response from the Muskego Volunteer Fire Company / as to the reasons why they are not receptive to the oil tank's
present location. It was noted that before waste oil tank is 1
relocated, Supt. Loughney will check with the DNR for all
regulations. ,i

Mr. Dan Richards appeared before the Committee to request that
the City provide 35 ton of riprap stone, not to exceed $315.00,
to the Little Muskego Lake, Circle Drive inlet. Ald. Taube moved

by Ald. Dumke, motion carried with Ald. Simmons voting "no".
Ald. Simmons stated that he was agreeable to having the Public
Works Department do the hauling, but that all costs should be the
responsibility of the property owners in the project.
Police Chief Johnson appeared before the Committee to request use
of the fenced area adjacent to the Parks Garage which is under
the Department of Public Works' control. Ald. Taube moved to
allow the Police Department to use an area 100' x 150', with the Police Department supplying the fence and the Public Works
Department installing the fence.
\
Any excess area would be able
to be used for other storage. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion
carried. /
r
r. Wil Vidal appeared before the Committee to his proposal to
transport dredging materials through City park property, Idle Isle, and City bridge and roads. Mr. Vidal stated that the route
to be taken would be Hardtke to Martin. Mr. Vidal and Mr. Soik, the petitioners, will be signing Resolution #24-90Am by which they accept all responsbility for any and all damages incurred.
The Committee reviewed correspondence from Waukesha County on
maintenance the county will perform on highways within municipalities. The County will maintain areas of pavement used exclusively for the continuous movement of traffic. This would
include tapers used for bypass lanes or right turn acceleration
and deceleration lanes or other pavement not available for
traffic. The County will also normally maintain the drainage
system within the right-of-way and within any recorded drainage
easements. This would include cleaning of pipes, replacement of
grates and repairing/rebuilding catch basins. Maintenance
services provided on the travelled lanes would include
traditional pavement repair, snow and ice control and pavement markings. The County does not mark crosswalks or parking
stalls. Likewise, the County does no pavement repair outside the
driving lanes. The County staff will perform other traffic
engineering tasks. They will maintain traffic signals and install and repair traffic control signs all within the right-of-
way. The County retains permit authority anywhere within their
right-of-way. If a utility wished to install a cable under the parking lane which the County does not maintain, the utility
would still need a County permit.
The meeting adjourned at 7:50 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
ca
Ald. William T. Simmons
Secretary
