MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 22, 1987
The meeting was called to order at 7:13 P.M. by Chairman Dumke.
Also present were Committee Member Taube and Highway Supt.
Bertram. Ald. Sanders was absent.
The Committee reviewed Urban Drainage projects. A ditch project
was discussed and Ald. Dumke will review with the affected
parties, Mr. Diekfuss and Mr. Dahlmann, a plan for implementing
an urban drainage project.
The Committee reviewed the proposed road standards for the
following:

3. Typical local road rural section
Ald. Taube moved to adopt the above standards. Seconded by Ald.
Dumke, motion carried.
Mr. Stan Potrykus recommended that the City secure from the City
Engineers road specifications that they had drawn up for the Town
of Waukesha in order for the City to review and come up with
specifications that can be attached to the above standards.
Mr. Stan Potrykus also appeared before the Committee to discuss
the 32' wide asphalt paved road which was recommended by the City
Engineer for Parkland Extended. Ald. Dumke moved to allow
Parkland Extended to be constructed with a 24' wide asphalt paved
road with a wider than normal radius at the intersection of
Parkland and Highway 24. Seconded by Ald. Taube, motion carried.
The Committee requests that the City Engineers itemize future
bills for work performed by the Developers.
The Committee reported on inspection of cul-de-sac and ditch
complaint on Sunnyhill. supt. Bertram will add road width to
shoulder and a strip to edge of far side of island to allow
easier passage of school bus. Work on cul-de-sac was completed
on August 15, 1987. The drainage ditch erosion is to be delt
with by re-establishing a slope with round riprap stone and
poured concrete slurry over the top.
The Committee reviewed road and grading plans for Glen Oaks
Subdivision and required that the drainage ditch on the lot north
of Lot f/l be maintained by the owner by having a deed restriction placed on the lot.

Mr. Jerry Komassa appeared before the Committee to discuss the
three settling ponds located in Denoon Park. Ald. Taube and Ald. Dumke will conduct an onsite inspection.
The Committee discussed selection process for the Highway Superintendent. Ald. Taube moved to post the position at the City Garage, and advertise in the Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel
soon as possible. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Chairman Dumke will work with staff personnel to set dates for interviews. iv
