September meeting.
The Committee discussed the drainage concerns associated with
Durhamswood Subdivision. Many residents appeared to show pictures and discuss drainage problems at Freedom Acres. They stated that the water flow was poor due to the flatness of part
of the Subdivision. Mr. Bob Rasmussen asked if the proposed lake
in Durhamswood #3 will result in water flowing out of Freedom
Acres and cause a backup. Mr. Stan Potrykus stated that
Durhamswood is trying to obtain an easement to allow storm pipe
to drain water to the east. Ms. Diane Krause stated that water is backing up on her property due to the large amount of water
that drains from the corn field on McShane. Pictures of some areas of drainage problems were provided to the Committee and will be attached to the official minutes. The Committee directed Supt. Bertram to install another pipe at the end of Easy Street and Indian Trail and increase the size of the pipe under the
Northeast Pumping Station service road. supt. Bertram will also remove cement box culvert near lift station. Mr. Robert Klenz, developer of Durhamswood, will be invited to the September
meeting to discuss drainage.
Representatives from Pick & Save appeared before the Committee to
address Ruekert & Mielke's corespondence of August 21, 1987
wherein they are requesting additional calculations. Mr. David Kaul stated that he spoke to Engineer Ken Ward just prior to this
meeting and had mailed out all requested figures. The Committee
