The Committee reviewed the minutes of the Public Works meeting of
October 29, 1986. The swale referred to for the Durhamswood
Subdivision should be on the southern end of the Subdivision,
along Settler's Way, to insure that all drainage will be directed
away from Freedom Acres Subdivision. If an easement cannot be obtained for the necessary drainage to the creek, the City will
grant an easement to run the drainage to the McShane pumping
station. The preliminary drainage study prepared by the
Developer was reviewed and approved. Ald. Hilt moved to
recommend that the amended plans be again reviewed by the Plan
Commission for their approval. Seconded by Ald. Sanders, motion carried. In the event that the drainage is not sufficiently
taken care of, the Developer was made aware that the Committee
reserves the right to insist that another swale be installed that will run east and west along the southernly portion of the
Durhamswood Subdivison. Following further study of Durhamswood
Subdivision plans, it was recomended that when the Developer
submits the plans for Phase II of the project, that the Plan
Commission ascertain the logic of dead ending Freedom Avenue
which would isolate this Subdivision from Freedom Acres
Subdivision.
supt. Bertram stated that a bulkhead will have to be installed at
the Vesbach Liftstation in order to disconnect the drainage
pipes.
The remaining landscaping for the Pellmann property will be
completed in 1987. The ditch from the sewer lagoons on the
Vesbach property, measuring 2700 feet, have been cleaned out.

DeAngelis in an effort to establish a policy to prioritize
drainage projects in the City of Muskego.
