Public Works Committee - MINUTES - 7/10/1986PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 10, 1986 The meeting was called to order at 7~07 P.M. by Chairman DeAngelis. Also present were Committee Member Sanders, Mayor Salentine, and Superintendent Bertram. The Committee reviewed the TIF projects. Work is still in progress on Woods Road in conjunction with the Ladwig Drive Sewer Project and completion is pending the proper grade of curves in the road. The Kurtze Lane Project was reviewed. The City is waiting for receipt of a deed restriction from Mr. and Mrs. Pellmann. The Committee discussed the Urban Drainage Project. Applications for employment in the Public Works Department were reviewed and placed on file. The Public Works Committee agreed with the recommendations of Attorney Arenz and Molter in regard to the proposed easement on the Herdeman property and recommend that the Attorneys be directed to negotiate with Attorney Moertel who is representing Mr. Herdeman. Progress on the road construction and drainage project on Tans Drive is on hold due to the recent heavy rainfall. Local water drainage problems were reviewed and a letter will be sent to Mr. Verburgt and Mr. Koepke of North Karen Drive stating that the City feels that the cost involved with correcting this drainage problem would be prohibitive at this time. The Committee determined that the drainage problem on the southeast corner of Lake Meadows is located on private property and is not 'the city's obligation. Supt. Bertram will cut a swale across from Mr. Helm's home on Hillendale Road in an attempt to correct a drainage problem. It was noted that a large planter which is located on the property of the National Savings h Loan at Pioneer and Hwy. 24 severly obstructs motorists' vision when attempting to turn west onto Hwy. 24 from Pioneer Drive. Mayor Salentine will contact National Savings & Loan Association in an attempt to rectify the situation. The meeting adjourned at 8:50 P.M. Respectfully submitted, 0 0 ca Harold F. Sanders Secretary
