Public Works Committee - MINUTES - 10/3/1985PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 3, 1985 The meeting was called to order by Chairman DeAngelis at 7:OO P.M. Also present were Committee Members Hilt and Tomczyk, Supt. Bertram and those per the attached list. Mr. Stan Potrykus appeared before the Committee to clarify a change in his road plan for proposed Aud Mar Estates Subdivision. He requested authorization to replace the cul-de- sac with a "T". The Committee agreed to the change. The Committee reviewed Offer to Purchase-Kelsenberg (Tess Corners/Hwy. 24 Drainage Project). Mr. Kelsenberg explained to the Committee why he put a provision to install a fence in his offer to purchase. Mr. Kelsenberg's complaint was about litter in the creek and a suggestion was made to inform Open Pantry of the problem and have their employees police the area. Mr. Kelsenberg agreed to drop the request for fencing provided the litter problem is solved. Mr. Diekfuss and Mr. Luedke appeared before the Committee to discuss the farm drainage money. They claim that before Guernsey Meadows was built they did not experience the amount of run off they presently receive. The Committee explained that not only does a policy have to be set on how to allocate monies for cleaning ditches, but also priorities have to be set. Mr. Diekfuss and Mr. Luedke agreed to pay a percentage of the cost. Mr. Frank Narlock appeared before the Committee and explained the deed restrictions for Lakeview Subdivision. The only restriction is property owners have to pave the distance from lot line to road. supt. Bertram will contact Mr. Katzka whose drive is partially causing the culvert problem on Hickory Lane. No bids were received for the Tess Corners/Highway 24 Drainage Project. The Committee reviewed the Tess Corners Drive & Woods Road crossing bid. The low bidder was Edgerton Contractors, Inc. at $58,391.55. Supt. Bertram reviewed with the committee quotes for the purchase of VAC-ALL. Milwaukee MAC Sales ($101,045), Schuster Equipment Chicago, Illinois ($98 566.) and Central Engineering for ::d;l ElOA VAC-ALL ($97 856:) The Committee agreed to recommend acceptance of the bid f;om Central Engineering for $97,856. Public Works Committee - October 3, 1985 Page 2 The Committee discussed the cost obtained from the City Engineers for curbs and gutters on Ann Drive. The Committee felt no one would be burdened with paving and curbs & gutters. This will be discussed at a future meeting. The Committee reviewed minutes of the previous meeting. supt. Bertram informed the Committee of communications received from the DNR regarding certain conditions that have to be met in well conversion before a Public Utility is finally approved.
