MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 7, 1985
The meeting was called to order at 8:06 by Chairman DeAngelis.
Also present were Committee Members Hilt and Tomczyk, Supt.
Bertram, Mayor Salentine and those per the attached list.
Mrs. Golla appeared before the Committee to express concerns with
removing the 'no parking" signs on the left side of Ruby Drive.
Ald. Tomczyk moved to refer the matter to Public Safety Committee
with the recommendation that the parking signs be removed.
Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried.
Mr. & Mrs. Mueller appeared before the Committee requesting a
culvert pipe extension on their property on Kurtze Lane. The \
Committee directed Supt. Bertram to check out the request and
comply if it is feasible.
Supt. Bertram informed the Committee of Mr. Larry Schneider's
request to cut 6" off the drawn down pipe so Little Muskego Lake
could be drawn down 24" rather than the present 18". The
Committee agreed to the request as long as it was not in
violation.
The Committee reviewed the 1986 Public Works Contract Settlement Agreement and recommended Council approval.
The Committee discussed request to waive curbs and gutters for
Ann Drive. After reviewing the City Engineers report which
indicated it would be more expensive to install culverts and
would affect drainage, Ald. Tomczyk moved to deny request to waive curbs and gutters. Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried.
The Public Works Committee, along with Mayor Salentine and Supt.
Bertram will formulate a priority list for a Farm Drainage Policy
and submit it to the Committee at a later date.
The Committee reviewed the following TIF projects:
Industrial Park Entrance Signs - The Committee reviewed the
engineers, consultants and Plan Commission recommendations and
recommended that bids be let for 4 signs with an alternate bid
for two signs. The Committee also recommended that the City
Engineers re-evaluate the location of the signs. One sign will
be located on Janesville Road and a possible three off of Racine
Avenue.
Kurtze Lane - Graveling is nearing completion.
Bass Bay/Bay Lane - The Committee discussed Tomassini's clean up,
reseeding, etc., and will inform the Public Sewer Committee that
they are satisfied with the job.

H~~arage - Supt. Bertram advised the Committee that the fans
eater for the City Garage have not been installed and the
project will not be TIF funded if not completed by December 31.
Supt. Bertram advised the Committee that the shadow lane on
Racine Avenue and Kelsey Drive has been completed as requested by
Waukesha County.
