Public Works Committee - MINUTES - 8/8/19850 PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO CORRECTED
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 8, 1985
The meeting was called to order by Chairman DeAngelis at 8:00
P.M. Also present were Committee Members Hilt and Tomczyk, and
supt. Bertram.
The Committee discussed the Tess Corners Creek Drainage Project.
Supt. Bertram advised the Committee that the DNR would allow
concrete inverts from Tess Corners Drive to Highway 24, but not
from Tess Corners Drive to St. Paul's. It appears as if the
project will not materialize due to lack of DNR interest. The
Committee felt as no written confirmation from the DNR has been
received, the St. Paul project will not be completed. The
project from Highway 24 to Tess Corners Bridge should be let out
for bids.
The discussion on waiving curbs and gutters for Ann Drive was
deferred to meeting scheduled for August 22, 1985 when more information will be available.
The Committee discussed bids for grading for the Industrial Park
and recommends accepting the base low bid of Enders Construction
Co.. Inc. for a cost of $234.888. ~1~s three ontional items for a
total project cost of $361,9?3.,' L subject to the City Engineers
review.
The Committee acknowledged receipt of bids for the Bass Bay Road
Project and the Kurtze Lane Road Project, and recommended bids be
reviewed by the City Engineers for recommendation to the Common
Council.
Supt. Bertram advised the Committee of a problem on Pioneer Drive
and Highway 24. The bushes on National Savings & Loan property obstruct vision of traffic from the West. The Committee directed
Ald. Tomczyk to contact the Manager of National Savings & Loan to
remedy this problem.
The Committee discussed the drainage ditch on Tess Corners & Flintlock. The Committee felt that Supt. Bertram should contact
the affected property owner , Mr. Tom Wernette, and invite him to
the next meeting on August 22, 1985 to discuss the rebuilding of
his ditch.
supt. Bertram advised the Committee of a problem on Cheviot
Lane. The Committee directed Supt. Bertram to handle the project
as he felt necessary.
Supt. Bertram advised the Committee that he was seal coating on

Parker Drive, Priegel Drive and a section of Parkland Drive and
the older section of Fountainwood.

Supt. Bertram advised the Committee that he had a bull dozer
working at the old holding ponds. He rented the machine for one
week and feels he should have rented a "low ground pressure"
machine as the results would be better. Ald. Tomczyk moved to
have Supt. Bertram rent the "low ground pressure" machine.
Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed minutes of previous meeting and place them
on file.
The meeting adjourned at 9:15 P.M.
