MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 8, 1984
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Penovich at 8:30 P.M. Also Present were Committee Member Ald. DeAngelis,
Mayor Salentine, Superintendent Bertram, David Ludwig, and Judith Strampe. Ald. Hilt was absent.
The Committee discussed Kurtze Lane Drainage. Mr. Ludwig and Mrs. Strampe appeared before the Committee and gave a history of
past problems and those that still exist today. Mr. Ludiwg is
requesting proper drainage of his land which is adjacent to the
sewer and road project on Kurtze Lane. The Committee recommended that a letter be drafted to DNR supporting Mr. Ludwig's views on
solving the drainage problem at the end of Kurtze Lane. Mrs. Strampe will contact the DNR and inform the City of the person to
contact. Mr. Ludwig and Mrs. Strampe will sign easements within
the next two weeks.

acquiring the easements by eminent domain.
The Committee discussed the Diekfuss Drainage at length and did
not arrive at a solution. The Committee members will contact the
County Agriculture Agent to see if the Bureau has any expertise
in this field. Superintendent Bertram will contact other
communities to see if they have had a similar problem and how
they reacted.
The Committee discussed the tree planting bond for Kristin Downs
and recommended that the Building Inspector contact the Bonding Company to require the four lots to have trees planted as
stipulated in the bond.
The Committee reviewed the TIF projects.
The Committee reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting.
The Committee discussed the purchase of a Wheel Loader which was
approved by the Capital Budget Committee and the Finance Committee. The quotes received are as follows:

Ald. Penovich moved to recommended approval of the quote received
from Bark River Equipment at a price of $43,996.00 plus Michelin tires at a cost of approximately $350.00. Seconded by Ald.
DeAngelis, motion carried. The Wheel Loader is an approved 1984
Capital Budget item which is to be paid in January of 1985.
