MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 2, 1984
The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairman DeAngelis.
Also present were Committee Member Dumke, Mayor Salentine, Supt. Bertram and David Ludwig. Chairman Penovich was absent.
The Committee discussed the request of Reesman's Excavating to
add $1,300 to the Alt. "B" contract for the Glenbrook Drainage
Project for 20 cords of wood at $65.00/card on the VandenPlas
property. The Public Works Committee recognized that the contract authorized the contractor to remove the wood, but the
agreement with the property owner, Mr. Vanden Plas, called for
the wood to remain on the premises. The Committee requested
supt. Bertram to clarify the value of the wood, and recommended
approval of the dollar amount determined by Supt. Bertram.
The Committee discussed the Tess Corners Drainage Project and
will make arrangements for a meeting with representatives of St. Paul's
The Committee directed Supt. Bertram to contact Ruekert & Mielke
and the DNR concerning the rebuilding or repairing of the dam at Big Muskego Lake.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on
file.
The Committee requested that Ruekert & Mielke prepare a cost
study on the revamping of the bridge and the changing of the road with regard to the Switala Drainage Project. The Committee noted
that this storm drainage project would be sodded or seeded in the spring.
Mr. David Ludwig discussed with the Committee, his problem with
the water from the Guernsey Meadows project. Mr. Ludwig will
obtain cost figures and report to the Committee at their next
meeting.
Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn at 9:00 P.M. Seconded by Ald.
DeAngelis, motion carried.
