MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 23, 1984
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman
Penovich. Also present were Committee Members DeAngelis and Hilt, Superintendent Bertram, David Ludwig and Judith Strampe.
The Committee discussed the Diefkuss drainage problem.
Superintendent Bertram will measure easement where dirt fill is
piled on Wollman farm to ascertain if Mr. Diekfuss has crop
damage for 1984.
The Committee discussed Mr. Leo LaMacchia's drainage problem on
Fleetwood Rd. in the ditch between Schmidt Park and his
property. Mr. LaMacchia is asking for a concrete invert to
alleviate the problem. The Committee aid not feel that this situation warranted any action at this time and will review in
the Spring.
The Committee discussed the berm in Guernsey Meadows along Hwy.
24. Superintendent Bertram will contact the State and/or County to try to determine if they would be willing to pay for expenses
involved in removing berm.
Mr. David Ludwig and Judith Strampe appeared before the Committee
to discuss an erosion problem behind Guernsey Meadows Subdivision. At the present time a 42" culvert is emptying the
water from Guernsey Meadows onto the Ladwig property causing continuous erosion since 1978. The Committee decided to invite Mr. Max Horwatich of the Waukesha-Milwaukee County ASCA Office,
500 Riverview, Room A-108, Waukesha, WI, 53186, to the next
Public Works Committee meeting to discuss this problem.
The Committee discussed the present speed signs on Woods Roads which were lowered because of construction. Ala. Hilt moved to
remove the temporary 25 MPH signs and replace with 35 MPH signs
from Lannon Drive to Bay Lane Road.
