Public Works Committee - MINUTES - 11/3/1983PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 3. 1983
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Penovich at
8:00 P.M. Also present were Committee Members DeAngelis and
Dumke, and Supt. Bertram.
Attorney Molter has the description of Schultz Lane and will proceed with the original easements of the lane and report back
to the committee.
The following T.I.F. projects were discussed:
Supt. Bertram gave a detailed explanation of the Tess Corners
Drainage project with relation to St. Paul's Church and will
review again at the next meeting.
The Committee discussed the Meadowdale Drainage project.
Numberous small jobs were explained which will be completed
shortly.
Supt. Bertram reported that a meeting was held between he and
Ruekert & Mielke and Mr. Pellman. It was decided that some of
the suggested projects will have to be discussed with the D.N.R.
before completion.
The committee discussed the Switala ditch project. Supt. Bertram
will talk to Frank Switala, Jr., about the altered ditch project.
The Vanden Plas easement has not been signed due to the unavailability of Mr. Vanden Plas. Ald. DeAngelis will continue
to try contacting Mr. Vanden Plas to instruct him to contact
Chairman Penovich to make arrangements to sign the easement.
Chairman Penovich moved to have the Glenbrook Drainage project
done in stages if unable to be completed at one time. The motion
was seconded by Ald. DeAngelis and the motion carried.
The committee directed Supt. Bertram to ask Ingersoll Cable
Company to put up a $20,000.00 road restoration bond. It was
recommended that this referred to the Public Welfare Committee.
The committee discussed the south drainage ditch on Sunset Drive
and directed Supt. Bertram to contact E. Hunt to try to solve this problem.
The meeting adjourned at 9:45 P.M.
