Public Works Committee - MINUTES - 5/19/1983PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 19, 1983 The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman Penovich. l Also present were Committee Members DeAngelis and Dumke, Aldermen Tomczyk and Gaetzke and Mr. Curtis Frahm of Kelbe Bros. Equipment Co. Mr. Curtis Frahm appeared at the meeting to review with the committee the following bids for a vibratory roller for the Highway Dept.: Lincoln Contractors Supply, Inc. $9,802.50 Miller-Bradford & Risberg, Inc. 9,175.oo Kelbe Bros, Equipment Co., Inc. 8,550.OO Hunter Machinery Co., Inc. 10,613.OO Ald. DeAngelis moved to accept the low bid of Kelbe Bros. Equipment Co., Inc. in the amount of $8,550.00 and recommend Council approval of same. Seconded by Ald. Penovich. Motion carried. l The committee discussed the Tess Corners Drainage Project in the 0 area of Cornell Dr. and plans were reviewed. The committee also discussed drainage from the Tess Corners Fire House to S.T.H. 24 and it was the conselsus:& the committee to make the necessary improvements. An easement will be needed from both Mr. Robert Uttech and from the Tess Corners Fire Department. The balance of the Public Works TIF Projects were discussed and the city is awaiting the necessary easements. Ald. DeAngelis moved to make the improvements on the Tess Corners Creek from the fire house to Janesville Rd. Seconded by Ald. Penovich. Motion carried. The committee discussed the Glenbrook Extension Project. Ald. Penovich advised that he had discussed the matter with Mr. Vanden Plans and he had indicated he would be willing to sell land to the city for the necessary easement for drainage purposes. Mayor Salentine will finalize the procedures. supt. Bertram reported the results of the testing of gravel for the Denoon Road Reconstruction Project. e The committee reviewed a sketch for the proposed ditch on the David Ludwig property. The committee once again reviewed the problems encountered with the Kettner property on Kingston Drive. Ald. DeAngelis moved to 0 have Building Inspector Lee send a registered letter to Mr. Kettner requiring him to remove the retaining wall that has been constructed over the top of the catch basin.
