Public Works Committee - MINUTES - 3/4/1983PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 4, 1983 The meeting was called to order at 7:35 P.M. by Chairman Penovich. Also present were Ald. Colburn and Dumke, Supt. Bertram and Mr. Frank DeAngelis. The committee reaffirmed its position regarding the drainage ditch problem of David Ludwig and tabled this matter. supt. Bertram read a letter from Ruekert & Mielke dated 11/2/79, showing the cost of the Schultz Lane project as $45,600.00 for the entire project, or $19,260.00 for 600' south of Durham Dr. supt. Bertram also estimated that if the property owners under- took this project themselves, the cost could be in the area of $27,500.00. Ald. Dumke will present the new figures to those involved and report back to the committee. The committee reviewed the plans submitted by Ruekert & Mielke for the dredging of the channel at Gold Drive as part of the LembezederlGold Dr. drainage project. As the cost would be approximately $ZO,OOO.OO and there was no consideration given for rip-rap or sheeting which could double the cost, the committee recommended dropping this portion of the project. The committee reviewed the bids on the South Denoon Road Recon- struction project, and recommended approval of the low bid of $106,443.50 from Lang Engineering, subject to approval of the City Engineers. The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file. Supt Bertram requested that the roof on the old garage be repaired because of leaks. The committee recommended that Supt. Bertram proceed with this project with the cost not to exceed $1,500.00, with monies to be taken from the Public Works Ivlatintenance of Building and Grounds Acct. No. 55800-5200.
