Public Works Committee - MINUTES - 7/28/1983PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO 0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 28, 1983 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Penovich at 7:05 P.M. Also present were Committee Member DeAngelis, Mayor Salentine, Ald. Nilsson and Supt. Bertram. Ald. Dumke was absent. The Committee discussed the road policy for Bay Lane and Kurtze l Lane. Ald. DeAngelis moved, seconded by Ald. Penovich, that Bass Bay Place and Kurtze Lane be asphalted, with payment to be made either by assessment to the property owners or with TIF funds, or combination of both. The Committee noted that the Larkspur and Somerset ditch would be discussed at the next Public Works meeting. supt. Bertram reported that he would begin the work on the Kettner catch basis as soon as possible. supt. Bertram reported that for all practical purposes the Tess Corners Retention Pond has been repaired at an approximate cost of $4,500.00 from TID #2. The Committee discussed storage of the Weed Harvestor and determined that outside storage is the best alternative, regard- less if leased or purchased. 0 The Committee reviewed a request for release of funds from the Lake Meadows Subdivision escrow account in the amount of $2,862.15 from the Well account. The Committee noted that $184.38 was owed to the City by Mr. Potrykus. Ald. Penovich moved to release the $2,862.15 from the escrow account after receipt of the $184.38 from Mr. Potrykus. Seconded by Ald. DeAngelis, motion carried. The Committee discussed cleaning the ditch between Racine Avenue and Kelsey Drive. supt. Bertram will study the area. The Committee reviewed the minutes of the 7114183 meeting and amended them to add: The Committee recommends that the Diekfuss Offer to Purchase regarding the Glenbrook Drainage Project be amended to include the following: Buyer will provide a five foot woven wire fence with 1 barbed wire on top1 the wood will be cut in lengths easy to handle; and excess dirt will be placed on the farm and filled at owner's discretion. During construction, temporary fencing will be provided. The Committee reviewed the bids received for the Drive Drainage Project, and recommended that the Excavating for $74,111.55 be approved subject to City Engineer. 0 The Committee reviewed the TIF projects. The Committee noted that Joe Eberle of Ruekert & LembezederlGold bid of Reesman's approval of the Mielke will visit the Switala property to discuss the ditch with Frank Switala, Sr. supt. Bertram discussed with the Committee his request for concrete forms, etc. to improve the forming of ditches at an approximate cost of $9,500.00. The Committee recommended funds be taken from TIF #l.
