APPEAL 10-90 CHARLES TREVORROW - Chairman Fohr read
the appeal or Charles Trevorrow, S75 W19362 Woodland Place
requesting a 13' setback variance to construct a residential
addition to a non -conforming structure. He asked Mr. Trevorrow
to explain his request and hardship. Mr. Trevorrow stated he has
a small house and wants a basement (only has craw space now and
could use it for safety reasons in case or tornados, etc.); he
Wants to improve the outside of the house. Mr. Lee commented
that the code has certain requirements for corner lots. Helen
Thompson, a neighbor, stated she isn't opposed since the
Trevorrows are improving the house and will help the resale value
of the neighborhood. She was concerned about the view, but has
checked the area and feels it isn't a problem. Mr. Trevorrow
stated his hardship is the size of the existing house (only about
950 square feet now) and the slope of his lot. Mr. Berken asked
if he intends to construct a garage? Mr. Trevorrow responded not
at the present time. Mr. Erno commented that he would have to
dig and put the garage under the grade of the lot. Mr. Trevorrow
commented that if he intended to construct a garage, he would
talk it over with Helen Thompson about her concerns. There being
no further discussion or comments the public hearing ended.
Chairman Fohr told Mr. Trevorrow that he could call the Building
Inspection Office in the morning or wait for the decision to be
mailed to him within five days.
The Board remained in Open Session.
APPEAL 9-90 PAUL KLOSKOWSKI - The Board briefly
discussed the swale needed to construct the garage without
causing problems to his neighbor, Mr. Terry Peterson. Mr.
Peterson Was present with Mr. Kloskowski and wasn't in opposition
to the construction. The Board members requested that Mr. Lee
guide Mr. Kloskowski in his construction of the swale, so as to
keep the backfill away from the wood by constructing the block up
higher. Mr. O'Neil made a motion to grant the 10.5 foot offset
variance to construct an addition to a garage at S79 W18863
Janesville Road. The hardship being to topography, the size of
the current dwelling and the well. Mrs. Posbrig seconded. Upon
a roll call vote the motion to adopt passed unanimously.
APPEAL 10-90 CHARLES TREVORROW - The Board briefly
discussed the se-t5ack of the structure from Racine Avenue and the
slope of the land. Mr. Berken made a motion to grant the
variance as requested for a 13' setback variance to construct a
residential addition to a non -conforming structure at S75 W19362
Woodland Place. The hardship being the need for added space in
the existing dwelling and the slope of the land. Mr. O'Neil
seconded. Upon a roll call vote the motion to adopt passed
unanimously.
