COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE – CITY OF MUSKEGO Approved
MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING January 13, 2005
HELD DECEMBER 8, 2004
Mayor Slocomb called the meeting to order at 6:05 PM. Also present were Ald.
Salentine, Patterson, Buckmaster, Melcher and Schroeder, Finance Director
Gunderson, Engineering/Building Inspection Director McMullen and City Atty. Molter.
Ald. Madden arrived at 6:40 PM and Ald. Borgman arrived at 6:49 PM.
Those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance. The Mayor stated the meeting was
noticed in accordance with the open meeting law and read the Notice of Closed
Session.
Ald. Salentine moved to convene into closed session pursuant to Wis. Stats.
19.85(1)(e), Deliberating or negotiating the purchase of public properties, the investing
of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or
bargaining reasons require a closed session; more specifically negotiations regarding
the Intermunicipal Agreement with the City of New Berlin for the Tess Corners Creek
North Drainage Basin and Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(c), Considering employment, promotion,
compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the
governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, more specifically the
2004 - 2005 Labor Agreements for bargaining units. Ald. Patterson seconded. Motion
carried 5-0.
Ald. Buckmaster moved to reconvene into open session at 8:02 PM. Ald. Patterson
seconded; motion carried.
Ald. Borgman moved to convene into closed session pursuant to Wis. Statutes
19.85(1)(c) at 8:02 PM. Ald. Melcher seconded; motion carried.
Ald. Madden moved to reconvene into open session at 8:23 PM. Ald. Melcher
seconded. Motion carried 7-0.
Ald. Borgman moved to adjourn at 8:23 PM. Ald. Melcher seconded; motion carried.
