CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Chiaverotti called the meeting to order at 7:06 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present were Ald. Wolfe, Hammel, Borgman, Glazier, Soltysiak, Kubacki, Madden , John
Sabinash (Zimmerman Architectural Studios INC), Scott Weiss (Muskego Public Access
Group) and Deputy Clerk Blenski.
STATEMENT OF PUBLICE NOTICE
Ms. Blenski stated that the meeting was properly noticed.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM JULY 23, 2013
Ald. Glazier made a motion to approve the minutes of the July 23, 2013 meeting. Ald.
Kubacki seconded.
Motion Passed 7 in favor<againsttext> 0 opposed</againsttext>.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Facilities Needs Study Presentation
Mayor Chiaverotti introduced John Sabinash of Zimmerman Architectural Studios INC who
gave an overview of the facilities needs assessment. The goal was to identify the highest and
best use of the various City buildings. A formal presentation will be made in the future to the
Common Council. The handout is available to view upon request.
2. Cable Club Budget
Scott Weiss, President of the Muskego Public Access Group, presented the 2013 Annual
Report and gave an update on recent and proposed cable programs There will be no capital
request for 2014. Ald. Kubacki would like to see the group grow. Ald. Glazier believes the
studio needs to be updated and cleaned up. Mr. Weiss acknowledged that there is a transition
regarding the new /old equipment and the studio is a work in progress.
4. Update on City's 50th Anniversary Events
Mayor Chiaverotti gave an update regarding the 50th Anniversary. The kickoff event will be
held Saturday, November 9th at 2:00 pm. The Finance Committee had approved startup
money of $3,000 for the Task Force at tonight’s meeting. As requested by the committee
Mayor had researched the possibility of having both the High School band and choir perform
for the kickoff. The band is not able to attend as they will be out of town and the choir is a
maybe and will let her know once school is back in session. The color guard units from the
VFW and the American Legion are available. The Historical Society will have their buildings
open and will allow the City to use the kitchen facilities. She recommended setting aside $200
for the cost of cupcakes, water, & coffee.
3. Purchasing Policy Proposed Amendment
Mayor had talked with Attorney Molter and he supports the language changes as presented.
Ald. Borgman made a motion to amend, Ald. Glazier seconded.
The revised policy will be on the August 27, 2013 Common Council agenda.
Motion Passed 7 in favor<againsttext> 0 opposed</againsttext>.
Mayor Chiaverotti reminded the members that the Festival Parade will be held on Sunday,
August 25th at 11 am.

Possible reconvening of the Committee of the Whole immediately following Common Council
Meeting of the same date to continue work on agenda items
Ald. Soltysiak made a motion to adjourn at 8:36 p.m. Ald. Glazier seconded.
