BOARD OF REVIEW
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEJ>1BER 23 jl 1987
The meeting of the Board of Review of the City of ~uskego was
called to order at 7:03 P.M. by Chairman Tom Ralst(n. Also
present were Board Members Merton Bowyer, Paul UssEl, Harold
Diekfuss, and Assessor Paul DeAngelis, City Clerk (harlotte L.
Stewart, Larry Langowski and Attorney John Macy. Cerald Tang was
absent.
Attorney John Macy reviewed procedure.
Mr. Scott Krause appeared before the Committee reqlesting to
include his 1986 object ion to hi.s prope~rty va lues. Testimony was
presented, under oath, by Hr. Krause and ASsE~ssor I eAngelis;
whereby Mr. Krause summarized hi.s po~: it i.on as to tIe va luation of
hi.s property.

ME!rton Bowyer moved to uphold Nr. KraUSE!'S 1987 va:uation of
$1,000,000. The motion died for lack of a second. Tom Ralston
moved to uphold the 1987 assessed valuation. Secolded by Harold
Di.ekfuss, motion carried with i'1erton BO\\Ì'yer eastin~ the only
dissenting vote. The 1987 valuati.on, as detE~rmine( by the
Assessor, was upheld. tn addition" the 1986 valuadon, as
determined by the Assessor, Wc:lS upheld.--
Following a brief recess, t:he meeting reconvened at 9:00 P.M. to
hear the Dale Sandberg objection for his property :ocated at S76
W19307 Prospect Drive. The testimony of Mr. SandbErg and
Assessor DeAngelis was heard. Herton Bowyer moved to uphold the
Assessor's valuation. Seconded by Mr. Diekfuss, mction carried
unanimously. The appeal of Dale Saddberg was deniEd.
The appeal of Clarence Soczka, W126 S6530 Chestertcn Court was
rE!viewed. Testimony by both Nr. Soc2:ka and Assess( I' DeAngelis
was heard. Mr. Soczka's appeal was to reduce the criginal
assessment from $126,400 to $1106,000. The rE~quest was to reduce
the value of the buildings of $100,800 to $80,400 ~ith the land
value remaining at $25 600. l1erton Bowyer moved t( uphold Mr.
Soczka's valuation at ~106,OOO. Seconded by Tom RElston, motion
ca.rried unanimously. The appeal of Clarence Soczké: in the amount
of $106,000 was approved.

Assessor DeAngelis requested t.he Board to correct the valuation
for the property known as Tax Key 2209.943 owned b) Robert & J.
Fitzsimmons. The land valUiE~ ",as assE!ssed at $13,5(0 and Assessor
DeAngelis requested to reduce to $3,200. Merton Bewyer moved to
make the requested adjustment for the assessment rele. Seconded
by Harold Diekfuss, motion carried unanimously.
