BOARD OF REVIEW
CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 17, 1993
The Board of Review of the City of Muskego meeting was called to
order by City Clerk, Jean Marenda at 10:00 a.m. Also present
were board members Alvin Basse, Lynda Guhr, Joseph Flintrop and
Eugene Gaetzke and City Assessor Laura Mecha. Board member
Merton Bowyer was abs'~nt.
City Clerk Marenda requested nominations for Chairman. Mr.
Flintrop nominated Lynda Guhr. Mr. Basse moved that nominations
be closed, and that a unanimous ballot be cast for Mrs. Guhr.
Mr. Flintrop seconded, carried unanimously.
Chairman Guhr requested nominations for Vice Chairman. Mr.
Flintrop nominated Alvin Basse. Mr. Gaetzke moved that
nominations be closed, and that a unanimous ballot be cast for
Mr. Basse. Mr. Flintrop seconded, carried unanimcusly.
Assessor Mecha presented a report to the Board advising that she
closed the roll at $567,313,330 assessed valuation, which is a
69% ratio, and is an increase of approximately $35,000,000 over
1992. A written report dated May 13, 1993, was presented to the
Board by the Assessor. Assessor Mecha advised that the 1994
Board of Review probably would not be held until August or
September due to the revaluation.
A letter dated December 16, 1992, from Attorney Jchn Macy
regarding recent changes in property tax assessmert law was
explained by Assessor Mecha.
Mr. Flintrop asked how this board could assure the assessment
stay within 10%? Assessor Mecha advised the only thing the
board could do, would be to request the Aldermen to allocate
funds in the budget to maintain an ongoing update.
The board reviewed the 1993 Assessment Roll.
Mr. Gaetzke moved to close the roll and to adjourr at 4:07 p.m.
Mr. Basse seconded, motion carried unanimously.
