BMLCommM19941213BIG MUSKEGO LAKE/BASS BAY PROTECTION & REHABILITATION DISTRICT BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING HELD DECEMBER 13, 1994 The meeting was called to order at 9:00 P.M. by Mayor De Angelis. Also present were Commissioners Patterson, D'Acquisto, Dumke, Misko, Sanders, Taube and Woodard, City Attorney Molter, City Clerk Marenda, Deputy Clerk Blenski and Deputy Commissioners Ed Herda and Jeff Kreiser. City Clerk reported that the meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting Law. Commissioner Misko moved for approval of minutes of the October 25, 1994 quarterly meeting. Seconded by Commissioner D'Acquisto, carried. Commissioner Misko moved for approval of the Joint Funding Agreement for the lake water -quality monitoring program for 1995. Commissioner D'Acquisto seconded, carried. Mark Paulat, City Grant Administrator, spoke about funding for a Project Manager for future restoration projects. Mr. Jim Jackley of the DNR has served as the project manager for the district's past projects. The DNR is seeking a commitment from the City for financial support for services such as those provided by Mr. Jackley for future restoration projects. Deputy Commissioner Kreiser spoke of the value of Mr. Jackley's participation in various projects and the need for a Project Manager. Commissioner Taube was concerned about the amount of money the City would be committing to and the site the Project Manager would operate from. Mayor De Angelis stated that Mr. Jackley provided valuable information to the district through his DNR affiliation. Mr. Paulat stated that several funding options will be reviewed. The DNR is looking for the Commissioners to agree to financial support for future projects. Commissioner Sanders moved to participate and support the City's funding of a Project Manager. Commissioner Taube seconded, carried. Mayor De Angelis stated that he has sent written correspondence to public officials requesting support for our lake projects and funding for same. Commissioner Taube moved to approve payment of the $800 voucher to SEWRPC for preparation of the Access and Waterway Protection Plan. Commissioner D'Acquisto seconded, carried. City Clerk Marenda stated that there were other vouchers that required BML SPECIAL MEETING - DECEMBER 13, 1994 PAGE 2 approval. Commissioner Misko moved to approve the following vouchers: Postage, Newsletter and Lake Bills $ 170.08 Newsletter 80.60 6 Pair Waders 215.73 Total $ 466.41 Commissioner D'Acquisto seconded the payment of the above vouchers totaling $466.41.
