BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING HELD MAY 11, 1993
The meeting was called to order at 7:50 P.M. by Mayor De
Angelis. Also present were Commissioners Patterson, Dumke,
Misko, Sanders, Schneider, Taube, and Woodard, City Clerk
Marenda, City Attorney Molter, and Deputy Clerk Blenski. Also
present were Deputy Commissioners Flancher, Jones, and Pilak.
Commissioner Misko moved for approval of minutes of meeting
held March 23, 1993. Commissioner Sanders seconded. Carried.
Deputy Commissioner Pilak requested a letter of support be sent
from the Commissioners to the DNR that time, effort and money
be spent in order to encourage interest in Big Muskego Lake to
enhance its capabilities. He stated there is local interest in
the lake and feels that the area could be beautified if the
state became involved. Senator Adelman and State
Representative Krosnicki have also been contacted and their
support is being requested.
Commissioner Sanders moved to send letter. Taube seconded,
carried. A list will be compiled by the Deputy Commissioners
at their meeting to determine who should receive letter from
the City.
The status of the dredging project discussed at the March 23
meeting was brought up. Commissioner Schneider is in favor.
Deputy Commissioner Pilak stated the Deputy Commissioners will
be meeting on May 12. Information is still being reviewed.
Commissioner Sanders questioned the proposed short-term draw
down. Deputy Commissioner Pilak stated nothing can be done
until lake access is acquired. This will be voted on by
members of the lake district.
Commissioner Sanders moved to adjourn at 8:00 P.M.
Commissioner Taube seconded. Carried.
