BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 26, 1993
The meeting was called to order at 7:42 PM by Mayor Salentine.
Also present were Commissioners Patterson, Dumke, Misko, Sanders
Schneider, and Taube, City Clerk Marenda and Deputy Clerk
Blenski. Also present were Deputy Commissioners Flancher,
Jones, Pilak, and Kreiser. Commissioner Simmons was absent.
Commissioner Misko moved for approval of minutes of meeting held
October 27, 1992. Commissioner Sanders seconded. Carried.
Deputy Commissioner Pilak stated a meeting was held December 3
with everyone involved in the Priority Lakes Designation
Program. Most projects are in. A few are two to three weeks
behind. The Logo Contest was discussed. The selection of an
engineering firm for the Parkland Ponds Siltation Project is on
the Public Works Committee agenda for Thursday, January 28.
Mayor Salentine gave an update on the Big Muskego Lake dam
issue. A meeting of the various representatives was held
today. Bill Sturtevant, of the DNR, did not respond to City's
letter. Once City has clear title and accepts ownership,
insurance will be provided.
An update on the status of the Southeast Area Sewer Plan was
given. Approval received from MMSD.
Deputy Commissioner Pilak gave an update on the EPA Grant. On
January 11, a meeting was held. Money will be used for projects
such as improving water quality. Staff could be hired. Survey
drawn up. He spoke with DNR today. This is on hold.
Commissioner Taube moved to enter into the Joint Funding
Agreement between the United States Department of the Interior
Geological Survey and the Big Muskego Lake Management District.
Commissioner Sanders seconded. Carried.
City Clerk Marenda presented the vouchers paid for the quarter:
