BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 23, 1990
The meeting was called to order at 7:40 p.m. by Mayor
Salentine. Also present were Commissioners Dumke, Hilt,
Patterson, D. Sanders and H. Sanders, City Clerk Marenda,
Deputy Commissioners Flancher, Proeber and Pilak. Commissioners
Simmons and Taube were absent.
Commissioner Patterson moved for approval of minutes of June 12,
1990. Commissioner Hilt seconded, carried.
Commissioner Dumke presented Emerald Park Negotiating Committee
update advising that the Committee is still in negotiations and
waiting for the court case completion. Mayor Salentine advised
that MMSD has not yet given approval to the Facilities Plan, as
the Emerald Park property is included in the Plan but is not
included in the 2005 service area.
Deputy Commissioner Pilak reported that carp removal will
continue in early Spring and that 5,000 perch have been ordered.
As to the drawdown and dredging request, the Deputy Commissioners
reported that no further information was available since the
annual meeting. The Deputies requested that the City put the
request in writing to the DNR on City letterhead.
Mayor reported that all three lakes in Muskego are eligible for
DNR Lake Planning Grant funds and a Resolution supporting their
request will be presented to the Common Council at their October
23rd meeting. Deputy Commissioner Pilak noted that the grant
included a stipulation that we have public access sites. Mayor
Salentine will clarify what obligation we have and what the
stipulation means.
Commissioner D. Sanders moved for approval of payment of voucher
in the $2,730.00 for the U.S. Geological Survey joint funding for
the period through September 30, 1990. Commissioner Dumke
seconded, carried 5-0.
Commissioner Patterson moved for approval of payment of voucher
in the amount of $260.00 for 1989 auditing fees. Commissioner
Hilt seconded, carried 5-0.
A list of the quarterly meeting dates for 1991 was presented to
the Commissioners and Deputies as follows:

The Annual Meeting date will be determined at the June 25, 1991
Quarterly Meeting.
Commissioner Sanders requested that the Wind Lake report be
placed on the next Big Muskego Lake agenda. It was suggested
that possibly Kathy Aron and a U.S.G.S. representative be invited
to attend. Mayor indicated he would handle the invitations.
Commissioner Patterson moved to adjourn at 7:55 p.m.
Commissioner Dumke seconded, carried.
