BMLCommM19851210BIG MUSKEGO LAKE/BASS BAY PROTECTION AND REHABILITATION DISTRICT BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MINUTES OF MEETING HELD DECEMBER 10, 1985 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Salentine at 7:43 P.M. Also present were Commissioners DeAngelis, Dumke, Hilt, Patterson, Penovich, Taube and Tomczyk, Clerk Stewart and Atty. Molter. Deputy Commissioners present were Switala and Proeber. Commissioner Penovich moved for approval of minutes of previous meeting. Commissioner Tomczyk seconded, carried. The status of lake access was discussed. A letter from Mark Andersen of the DNR dated 12/4/85 regarding the status of the repair of the dam was read. Deputy Commis- sioner Proeber stated that the dam technically belongs to the State and they are responsible for repair. If the City accepts the dam for $1.00 after the repair, there will be a control gate installed. If the City will not accept responsibility for managing the dam, the control gate will not be installed. Voucher payments in the amount of $96.29 were reviewed. Com- missioner Taube moved for approval. Commissioner Penovich seconded, carried. The Commissioners reviewed the proposal of Conley, McDonald and Sprague for preparation of the 1985 Audit. The 1984 Audit cost approximately $250.00. The Commissioners felt that if the cost increases further, consideration should be given next year to obtaining competitive quotes. Commissioner Hilt moved to auth- orize Conley, McDonald and Sprague to prepare the 1985 Audit at a cost of approximately $250.00. Commissioner DeAngelis seconded. Motion carried 6-1 with Taube casting only "no" vote. Commissioner Tomczyk moved to approve quarterly meeting dates for 1985 of January 28, April 22, July 22 and October 28, 1986. Patterson seconded. Chapter 33 will be reviewed to determine if the Annual Meeting can be held on the same date as a quarterly meeting. Deputy Commissioner Proeber requested that a letter of appreci- ation be sent from the Deputy Commissioners to June Ellery for the services offered to the Lake District by the late Estel Ellery.
